I actually don't remember what fields were there to begin with and what ones I added so bear with me π (for the characters page)
((sorry of this is way to long π))
so the first section is of course the OVERVIEW
- Name - The name they go by, may include a nickname
- Full Name- Their full legal name, including middle (if relevant)
- Meaning of Name- The meanings and origin of their full name
- Nicknames- Nicknames that other characters may refer to them as
- Age- Their age, many include multiple ages if the character is in multiple stories
- Birthday- Their birth day, month and year
- Gender- Their gender (not relevant to biological sex but may be included)
- Sexuality- Their sexual orientation (can be left unlabeled or blank)
- School Grade- The school grade at the time of the story (May be left blank if irrelevant)
- Universe- The story they belong to
- Tags- Often the story they belong to and the time period they were made
LOOKS
- Weight- The character's weight in both kg and lbs
- Height- The character's height in both cm and ft
- Hair- The way their hair is styled and its colour hex code
- Eyes- The shape of the eyes plus any extra descriptions, its colour hex code
- Face- The shape of the face, cheeks, nose and mouth plus any extra descriptions
- Skin Tone- A description of their skin colour and its colour hex code
- Race- The character's race
- Body Shape- A description of the shape of the character's chest and abdomen
- Clothing- Clothing they are often depicted in, different common outfits they wear
- Facial Hair- A description of the character's facial hair (if applicable)
- Identifying Features- A description of any tattoos, blemishes or beauty marks a character may have
PERSONALITY
- Nature- The traits a character is born with (the "light")
- Character- The traits a character chooses that enhance their nature (the "globe")
- Personality- The traits a character outwardly displays, how others perceive them
- Motivations- The reason a character acts the way they do, what drives them to succeed
- Strengths- Traits of a character that are beneficial or positive
- Flaws- Traits that are undesirable or can be seen as a weakness
- Fears- Things the character is scared of, be it a person, place, thing or feeling
- Personality Type- A characters Myers-Brigg personality type (e.g. INFP-T)
TRAITS
- Mannerisms- A habitual behaviour the character may not be aware of (e.g. pinching nose bridge)
- Prejudices- A dislike not based on reason or experience
- Talents- A skill that comes to the character naturally
- Quirks- A strange or peculiar trait the character exhibits (e.g. paces while thinking)
- Hobbies- Activities the character does for pleasure or leisure
- Interests- Subjects the character enjoys learning and talking about
- Habits- A particular behaviour the character does on a regular basis (e.g. drinking a glass of water every night before bed)
SOCIAL
- Best Friend(s) (link field)- A list of the character's closest friends
- Relationship with Best Friend(s)- The relationship the character shares with their closest friends
- Friends (link field)- A list of the character's friends
- Relationship with Friends- The relationship the character shares with their friends
- Enemies (link field)- A list of the character's enemies
- Relationship with Enemies- The relationship the character shares with their enemies
- Occupation- The character's job or schooling (if applicable)
- Favourite Possession- The character's favourite personal belonging/item
- Favourite Person- The character's favourite person, someone they love very much
- Role Model- The character's role model, someone they look up to and aspire to be like.
FAMILY
- Parents (link field)- A list of the character's parents.
- Relationship with Parents- The relationship the character shares with their parents
- Significant other(s) (link field)- A list of the character's significant other(s)
- Relationship with Significant Other(s)- The relationship the character shares with their significant other(s)
- Love interest(s) (link field)- A list of the character's love interest(s)
- Relationship with Love interest(s)- The relationship the character shares with their love interest(s)
- Siblings (link field)- A list of the character's siblings
- Relationship with Siblings- The relationship the character shares with their siblings
- Children (link field)- A list of the character's children
- Relationship with Children- The relationship the character shares with their children
- Pets (link field)- A list of the character's pets
- Relationship with Pets- The relationship the character shares with their pets
- Family Situation- The current state of the character's immediate and close family
- Other Notable Relatives- Any relevant relatives that don't fit the above criteria (e.g. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc.)
BACKGROUND
- Where they live (link field)- The town in which the character currently resides
- Religion- The religion the character prescribes (may be unlabeled or left blank)
- Birthplace- The town and country the character was born in (e.g. Dublin, Ireland)
- Languages Spoken- What languages the character has learnt/can speak
- Hometown- Where the character grew up, may be different to birthplace
- Ethnicity- The group of people the character identifies with, often influenced by parents or grandparents
PHYSICAL HEALTH
- Physical Disorder(s)- Any illness the character has that affects their physical health
- More Information- A more in-depth description of what the disorder is and how it affects the character.
- Symptoms- Features which indicate the disorder in the character (e.g. headaches, limps, stutter)
- Reason for Physical Disorder(s)- Why the disorder manifested, what caused it (e.g. genetics, cell mutation, smoking)
- Scars- Any physical scars a character may have from procedures, accidents or fights.
- Blood Type- What blood type the character has (A+, O, Rh-)
- Life Expectancy- The age to which the character dies (May be relevant to the story or not)
- Cause of Death- How the character eventually dies (May be relevant to the story or not)
MENTAL HEALTH
- Mental Disorder(s)- Any illness that the character has that affects their mental health
- More Information- A more in-depth description of what the disorder is and how it affects the character.
- Symptoms- Features which indicate the disorder in the character (e.g. depression, obsession, anxiety)
- Reason for Mental Disorder(s)- Why the disorder manifested, what caused it (e.g. genetics, truama, abuse)
HEADCANONS
- ABCs- A series of questions to be answered about a character based on each letter of the alphabet (e.g. ABCs of Fluff)
- Character Profile- A series of questions designed to give a character more depth, based on my thread
- Alternative Universe(s)- Any AUs or spin off the character may be apart of, often just done for fun
- Headcanons- Any idea or interpretation of the character that might not be relevant to the story, but are interesting none the less
QUOTES
- Official Quotes- Quotes originally said by the character in the story
- Unofficial Quotes- Quotes that orgininate from outside the story that match the characters vibe
TRIVIA
- Playlist- A link to a spotify playlist based on the character
- Spirit Animal- An animal the represent or makes me think if the character
- Zodiac Sign- The characters Astrology sign based on their birthday
- Favourite Artist- The characters favourite Singer, Painter, Writer etc.
- Favourite Colour- The characters favourite colour
- Favourite Animal- The characters favourite animal
- Favourite Food- The characters favourite food, what their last meal on death row would be
- Favourite Weapon- The characters favourites weapon, what they prefer to damage with (may be left blank)
- Type of Person- A description of the character based on these tumblr posts
- Uquizzes- Any Uquizzes the character might be a part of
- Random Trivia- Random bit of trivia about the development of the character
- Private Notes- Private notes only I see, sort of a "remember for later" list
The singular field I've added for my character templates is not nearly as long and descriptive as the ones @Seeba has lol, but I find that songs help me a lot with character building so I have a Character Playlist field that follows this outline:
- The character's theme song
- How the character views themself
- How the character views the rest of the world
- A song about the character's relationship with another character (can be a platonic or romantic relationship)
- A song about what the character wants
- A song about what's important to the character
- A song about what the character hates
- The character's Ass-Kicking Songβ’
- A song about an event in the character's life
- The character's "Origins" song
- The character's End Credits song
It's not a lot, but this field has helped me a lot with figuring out the personalities/mindsets of my characters and maybe it'll help someone else :)
