After what seemed like an eternity, he pulled away from her lips. Leaning his forehead against hers’, he breathed heavily. “I love you.”
" i love you" she said
“Is it still a no?” He asked rubbing her hip with the palm of his hand gently.
"is Collins okay?" She asked
“Yeah he’s ok. Still in the hospital though.” He replied softly.
She nodded resting her head on his shoulder closing his eyes
"What does that mean?" He asked pulling his forehead away from hers'.
" it means that I love you and no matter what happens I always will" she said
“But what does it mean for us right now?” He asked, not really wanting to hear the virtuous word puzzles right now.
" what do you want it to mean?," She asked
"We get to stay together, as long as we last." He whispered hopefully. "But is that what you want?"
" I want you" she admitted
"Then can it be? Or can it not be?" He asked, looking into her eyes, his own still glossed over.
" it can" she said
"Oh thank the lord." He whispered pulling away from her, only to scoop her up into a hug. He lifted her off the ground, and hugged her tightly.
" ow ow ow my arm" as said
He quickly set her back down. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" He panicked, looking her up and down worriedly. "How did I hurt you?"
She lifted up her sleeve showing a very bruised arm.
"When did that happen- did I just do that!?" He asked taking her arm tenderly in his hand.
" do you not remember the wreck" she asked
"W-wreck? No I don't remember that in the slightest." He said, really not remembering much.
"You slapped me and I drove off crashing in between two semis"
"I-I did?" He asked, his heart sinking.
She nodded " it's ok" she said
"I- why did I do that?" He asked, feeling miserable. He couldn't believe he had done such a thing, and the crash.
" I told you we were a mistake" she said
"O-Oh…" The memories were rushing back, like a wall had been lifted. "Do you still think that?"
She kissed his cheek " I just said it so you'd leave"
He nodded, smiling some at the kiss. "We're probably going to be late for class."
