"No no, of course not." He lied to her with a bright smile.
She'd find out eventually, especially with Felix absent from school, but right now she didn't. He intended to keep it that way for a good while at least. "It was something with my… friends. They had one drink too many and got all topsy. Nothing to worry about."
Does anyone want to help me write a story
She nodded not believing him she gently ran her thumb over the bruise under his eye.
Brad was trying not to show it, but it was relaxing when she did this. He wished she would do it all day, but he knew that wasn't going to happen. So before he made his hopes rocket sky high, he pulled away from her. "I was going to ask if you could help me out a bit,"
Caroline smiled " of course I will" she said with a giggle
"I have loads of homework, and most of it is due today." He muttered resting his head on the table. Even though the teen was in a gang, his parents didn't know that, and they expected perfection. What would they think if they found out his grades were slipping? Probably ways to punish him, that's what. So he had to keep a balanced overly stressed life.
Caroline limped over to the door flipping on the light and limped back over she turned it on so she could see better not realizing it made her bruises more visible
Brad lifted his head, squinting his eyes before they adjusted to the now light filled room. Though he looked at Caroline, surprised at what he did see. She was covered with bruises, dozens of them, and she was limping. Pretty bad at that too. "Caroline? What did you do?" He asked surprised at how beat up she was. It was not this bad yesterday. Not in the slightest.
She closed her eyes " it's fine…I'm fine…I don't want to talk about it'" she said.
"I'm not going to make you, but you're scaring me." He said simply with a deep frown. His brows decreased, and he slowly opened his homework folder.
" oh my God I have frightened the big bad Brad Hoax " she said dramatically
Brad rolled his eyes and sighed. "I'm serious Caroline. This is kind of a big deal."
He was concerned, and he had tried not to be. But there was no denying the fact he did care for her just a little bit. He just hoped they could even be friends. But that seemed quite unlikely, until right now at least.
She put a hand on both his cheeks to turn him to look at her " I'm okay Brad Really I am?" She said
"You don't look ok."
He was done arguing about this, he wasn't planning on responding after that. She wasn't ok, and they both knew that. But he had no intention on digging any deeper. This was her problem, and if she needed him, he'd listen.
She sighed " what do you need help with?" She asked.
The two spend the next three hours doing his work and managed to finish before class started
He shut the folder and smiled. "Thank Caroline, I'll see you later." He chirped slipping the folder in his beat up backpack. He started to leave, but stopped himself. He walked over to her, and kissed her cheek gently. As soon as he pulled away, he dashed off to go find Collins.
Caroline felt her cheeks burn up and limped out of the hallway where Callum met her and his girlfriend Lilli which was her girl best friend. They had asked about her limping but she had pushed it off saying she was fine.
Brad has found Collins, still starring off at Amanda. He seemed to be sulking over anything. “Hey Cole, everything ok?” Brad asked leaning on the wall next to Collins. Collins shook his blonde head, and sighed. “Amanda got a boyfriend. She’s dating Fel- whoa! What happened to you?” He asked studying Brad’s face.
Believe it or not Amanda and Caroline were friends she walked into the classroom and walked over to Amanda with a smile.
“I’ll tell you later, but for now we gotta get to class. I’ll talk to you at lunch, ok?” Brad said with a smile. Collins nodded with a sigh, and shuffled off to his first class.
wth
did yall just-write a story?
(… um hi)
(Yeah, that’s what we’re trying to do…)
Caroline turned her head catching sight of Brad she smiled gently
Brad waved at Caroline, and went to his usual seat. He pulled out his laptop, and his text books, and set them on his desk. He opened the laptop, and started typing Away to the story from yesterday.
The class started and everyone returned to thier seat where Caroline's was in front of Brad .
Brad was still typing, waiting to hear his name called to break him from his world of fiction. ’Jeremy ran across the threshold to try and get away from the security guards, but they seemed to be two steps ahead. He kept running, knowing it would only make things worse. Why was he running? He wasn’t sure, but when cops start yelling at you, it seems to be the first reaction.’
Caroline had a straight face as she wrote
' "I love you but I can never be with you were from two different worlds were opposites we can never work' "
" Alright class your assignment for tonight is to write a poem about the person I assign you with" Mrs Evans said. She went through names but Caroline wasn't really listening to her untill she said. "Caroline and Brad" she said
That caught Brad’s attention. “S-sorry? What was that?” He asked hearing both of their names called together.
" you two will be writing a poem about each other Mr Hoax" she said
