Help with building up to a kiss...

I have before and during a kiss written out, but I cant quite work out that moment right before…

Have them staring into each others eyes, reading the other completely. They both feel so venerable to each other, and there's an unheard drum roll as their lips get even closer.

Or, if it's a "close my eyes and just do it because I'm scared to see their reaction" there doesn't really need to be a middle bit.
