Hello everyone,
I am a research scholar and being a researcher I have very much keen interest to do writing but one lacuna is there that I don't have much interest in reading. So in any mid of conversation or writing comment suddenly I stop. Then I start thinking and thinking and thinking only. So how to remove this thing, I don't know.
Any suggestion to improve this?

Honestly I feel that the best way to go about fixing this is to start by finding things that interest you and read about them, sometimes background noise helps and sometimes it doesn't, honestly it's really a matter of finding the time and setting in which you feel the most focused.

I have the same problem, that's why I started SE7EN Project for myself! I put all ideas from my thoughts in that universe. A lot of things grow on their own, and I just follow where it leads me.
For example;
My thought: /thinking about this mean person I met at work
Me: What if this one character was like that in the beginning?
My thought: And then they mess up majorly and tries to make up for it?
Me: And it didn't work out-
My thought: Then they're burdened with old reputation, couldn't do anything to change it!
Me: Great! Wonderful!
Pretty much, but just more chaotic and I try to sort it by dumping it out onto digital paper heh
