I’m mourning a hologram, singing a requiem for no one.
There are no mirrors here, but perhaps if there were
If I squinted hard enough
I could see her one more time.
These lines I swear imma cry over these later. Thank you. This is an absolutely beautiful piece and the symbolism and imagery was -chef's kiss- <33
ah thank you! and welcome back ember!

Oh, I also do poetry on another platform. Admittedly not that many people like it but–
https://commaful.com/?r=phero
That's a link to the website, where you can find some of the stuff I've written (My username is @phero). I recently deleted everything I used to have there but like– I honestly really like the way you can format things here. And I am fully prepared for one of you to just show me up :,)

"Textroversion"
All my friends have no faces.
They come from all the wildest places
and they managed to have so many different names.
We speak through unintelligible clicks,
taps,
beeps.
Automated bonding, never works out.
Every day, we get closer and closer, just to figure out
we were so far away after all.
The names of the immortal stay plastered on my screen
my memory files become corrupted, but the doodle of them is always saved.
I grow quieter with each day, even though my cries are louder than before.
It all seems emotionless from across a screen.
The little bubbles like opium and nicotine.
I watch them disappear from sight.
Why won't you reply?

Thank you <3
(Oh, poetry. Neat. I took on poetry because the main character of one of my stories writes poetry. Here's a poem that he wrote, so to speak. In the story, it is extremely butchered to display his handwriting is scrawly.)
"Ink on Paper, Seeping to Skin"
Save me from the waves.
I never learned to swim, but I don't want the fish
to teach me.
Save me from the way
the scissors drag towards me, I don't want to be
a snowflake.
I'm not beautiful, no matter the way
I'm folded and cut.
I draw on myself, erase myself, and still they remain.
The lines where I pushed to hard,
the strokes I can't erase.
I crumble the paper and throw it away.
Save me from the waves.
I never got to learn
how to live.
(Reading back through old pages)
If today’s the last day of my life,
And if tomorrow won’t ever come to me.
All these ordinary days I’ve piled up,
Have I treasured them as they should be?Now that I look back,
I don’t think I have said enough
To those who’ve made me who I am today.
@KhunAltrince_is_feeling_jolly I very much enjoyed this poem not only as a whole, but for this part right here. I find poems to be most enjoyable when I can isolate a specific part of it and still say I'd be happy if that were all it was. I can say that for these stanzas right here. Good work and I'd love to see more from you.
(Just wanna say that I really like your (character's) poem, @redwood ! Keep up the good work! ^^)

( @redwood I— thank you! I wasn’t expecting to be called for something like this I’m definitely not complaining. Yours is very nice too, I like it a lot!)

Human
The world’s a stage, our life’s a show
Where could you go? So high, so low
A young proud soul, in fragile control
I grew past that a long time ago
Can I just say that this stanza immediately made me think of Shakespeare?
Walking around, to dance about
I wished to tie the knot around me
For the fame, people could see
The fifteen minutes worth of my life
Do I wish for it to die?A song of memories
A tune between death and life
Now I know, the wind that blows
Is enough to show…
Where I should go.
This earns a high-five from me. Just. Good job, I love these stanzas, particularly lines 3 and 4 or the first.
Celestial Message
In the sky, the stars align a picture in my heart
The image of a message which I might’ve walked apart
“Look at how beautiful they are” I whisper softly from afar
Wondering how the stars would look at us from where they are
@SeLosMeMos as I looked through I saw the amount you posted kind of dwindle down, so sadness. But this is absolutely stunning and I would totally read this stanza alone for an hour without regret. Great work.
Considering the plum-colored silk
She has thoughts so quiet
Not even the dream-flies can hear them
Gold spider lilies glitter knowingly in the folds.@Young-Dusty gorgeous.
Ahhh thanks fam! Kinda forgot I posted that one lol. Glad you like it! XD
(lol not iris,,, and thanks!! it took me a long time to build it up even though there are a lot of queer ppl in the friend group already)
I agree! Nice work! ^^
