mine's "Romeo and Juliet, but lesbians"
"but since they're gay they're smart and they actually live"
What are you writing? (quick and dirty summaries)
Book One; Simple soldier turned into King because, hey, you're the last Earthen user to have popped up in centuries. The bad guy REALLY wants to kill you. Also, the Fire Princess totally loves you but she won't admit it until her wife agrees to you.
Book Two; Omg, Ice Queen you absolute QUEEN. Also, can we visit your place up North? Shit, the bad guy stormed the castle and now. .oh, no. Bad guy takes things over and all hope is kinda lost.
Book Three; Earthen King and Fire Queen about to turn the game all on its head because the bad guy done super fucked up. But the bad guy is kinda prepared. Will we win? WILL WE?
I don't even know, yet.
A murder mystery where a mother is murdered, the detective is on the case and has a genius by her side to keep her from getting killed. The detective gets close to the remaining family, the father commits suicide, the detective takes in the kid. Seven years later there's another murder, nothing really serious but there's something the kid made and gave to the mother before she was killed. The case is picked up again and after 7 years of being out of touch, genius is called in and they're wiser and more prepared to face the murderer. Lo and behold, the murderer has a few new friends.
I'm writing about a secret population of immortals (they need to be able to be killed somehow, I just don't know how yet). They are sort of protecting humanity (Don't ask how) and the main character is a really stubborn girl that somehow gets caught and is then forced to tell about this population. There is a big threat ahead and they (the immortals ans the government) need to work together to protect the people. She then falls in love with a guy, who is part of the government and I really don't know the rest yeat I just started to develop the plot and the characters. Would you guys read something like that?
Oh, is this thread dead? Welp, I'll just stick a post here, don't mind me :P
"Kid transfers to a new school where he sits at a desk in the very corner of the classroom that no one but him and his teacher can see"
"The adventures of crippled and mentally ill dude and older brother"
"Teenage girl spontaneously gains the ability to fly (and maybe also has a crush on her best friend who maybe also has a crush on her back)"
"Teenage boy with a ridiculously long and pretentious name falls into a large vat of suspicious-looking and potentially radioactive fluid from which he gains the power to control weather and become a vigilante"
"Time is a sentient being"
There are more but I can't find a way to make them sound remotely interesting. Oh well.
I will post because I really loved reading all of these
"Post World War 3 the world has a more centralized government and all the smartest kids get taken to a fancy school at 14. MC is a basically average girl surrounded by fancy/super smart/stuck up people, so yeah."
"Couple get broken apart by a draft, turns out its for a Vampire Human war, boy gets turned into a half vampire and they have to run from the government."
"Random shy girl gets telepathy at 17 and can all of a sudden hear everyone's thoughts."
There are some more rough ideas, but last one that has any substance is a Batman fanfic
"Dick Grayson falls for the daughter of Lex Luthor (Reyna) who is, of course super ninja, and how Batman/other superheroes react."
"Girl detective who becomes popular in the world of crime solvers"

A soldier and a spy fall in love, only to find that they’re on opposite sides
Detective and her girlfriend and her platonic friend solve crimes, swear, and make sarcastic comments
hmmm
JoJo: Stardust Crusaders only stands are a collection of nanomachines that you control by playing music and there's no vampires
or for the not weeb
after ww3 music is the weapon of the future and a girl has to fight a bunch of people because her ukulele isn't sciencey enough for them
@nekh that sounds great XD
A murderous midwife, an exiled spymaster, and the lengths that adopted siblings will go to reclaim their kingdom. Think game of thrones without the magic.
Um, I like this.
A couple of random kids find out they're powerful and take down a maniac who happens to be on fire.
A girl's best friend falls into a portal and she finds him via a group of street-smart kids, and she falls in love with their leader.
A girl that's dead, oh wait she's not actually dead, and meets a dead boy who helps her come back to life, and they fall in love but can't be together.
Two girls fall in love in the midst of the shenanigans caused by their nephews, assistants, and vampire neighbors.
A kid ruins their sister's wedding, runs away from home, and accidentally winds up in the world of the fair folk.
Romeo and Juliet in a Victorian boarding school with much less romance and 1/3 of the murder.
A kid with a severe peanut allergy figures out time travel and uses it to try and take down George Washington Carver and things go Very Wrong.
A princess, a half-dwarf bandit, and a blind prophet with different curses on them band together to get the curses reversed.
Loving all of these! My most recent three are:
-
two teenaged girls with magical powers try to save the world for no apparent reason because they really can't do anything about it but then they meet a princess and somehow save the world anyways
-
five friends go on a road trip after high school to bond before college, two people fall in love, three people are super sassy, lots of artsy pictures are taken, and at some point, something will go horribly wrong
-
a girl's self-confidence is destroyed by her personified typewriter
wow I just realized how ridiculous all of those must seem when I put them like that…
@molly I love the third one XD
These are great, mine are
-written like an autobiography about a man who has killed at least ten people and has horrible moral values
-A person tries to find her immortal parents who have short term memory loss
-We see the afterworld while the government tumbles down
-A person who can see what fetishes people have just by looking at them
-A person who is very unlucky (to them) tries to end their life in multiple ways
Mine are all related to each other; they're sequels - prequels.
1: "sniper runs from aliens and disguises himself as one at one point, also rips someone's arm off I forgot to mention"
2: "humans go to earth only to find big creatures rule the earth but the aliens say 'hey buddy you need a special pass to come here even though you originally lived here'"
3: "humans say 'go away aliens'"
4: "some greedy bois believe aliens are inferior and aliens say, 'checkmate'"
Mine is a very complex book that may be summarized into "Goody-two-shoes teenager loses his mind 'cause his siblings won't pay attention to him"
……it sounds stupider when I say it like that hahaha
Girl doesn't realize that her words will come back to bite her.
"Oops, we accidentally kidnapped the Inspector Admiral but we didn't notice until it was too late to turn back."
Diplomat's son runs away from an arranged marriage to be a tailor and accidentally falls in love with his intended wife's brother.
"All mythical creatures are ancient aliens who eat humans and now one of them rebelled and is trying to to eat them all. Also they all love alcohol and sex like there´s no tomorrow."
"Four teenagers meet in a Subway during a huge storm and then survive a tornado together"
