Weapons for SOLDIERS

So I need some help creating some weapons for my soldiers. This is sci-fi futuristic so no magic, but I really need help.

You mean weapons aside from guns? If you really want some freaky sci-fi thing, I'd look up a lot of military tech found in both the UK and US, mostly because we 'Muricans are good at blowing shit up.

Thanks, not sure what that says about both us British and the Americans, but helpful anyway. If you do have some SciFi Starwars type guns you know about too, that would be cool!

I mean, you basically take a normal gun, add some lights and extra plastic bits, and you've got a new weapon. That's how the props department made the pulse rifles for the Alien movies.
