I want design characters for separate languages (there are 9 countries but for now I'm make 3 universal one) since My first languages is English so some of the languages will be constructed similar to English but I need tips on designing characters

I know this is almost a year old now- but I designed my characters around the shapes of animals the natives might have seen in the area! I also added little lines and a tiny circle to all of them, which I want to represent something like- life or similar.
