Avdey rolls his eyes, “Maybe you’re just not throwing a fit because you’re already in public. It would be real shameful on your family if you did throw a fix.”
"maybe not? you are acting very smug for someone so short" Donevan rolled his eyes. "I don't know why I bothered to approach you, just as smug and stuck up as always" He turned to walk away.
Avdey closes his eyes, taking deep breaths for long moments before straightening and dropping his hands from his hair. He looks around the room for a long moment before grabbing a drink off a passing platter and almost downing it.
He pulls the glass away from his face and pointedly does not look at Donevan, instead looking towards the dance floor and watching the dancing couples.
Avdey watches the dancing couples, ignoring anyone who walks over to ask him to dance. He didn’t want to dance, and he really didn’t care for the look his father was currently giving him.
Avdey was staring into a glass of wine at the moment, swirling the red liquid. He was seriously contemplating getting drunk at tis point. But it would be a bad idea if he did.
