Vivian follows in silence, hands intertwined in front of her. She easily kept up step with her Lady, who wore heels, but she was distracted by the beauty of the town: it was relatively small, but still much more developed than where Viv had grown up. Decorated shop fronts, flowers, carriages, people dressed in refinery… Vivian couldn't help but let out the odd squeak of wonder.

@LolaBug

Theodosia laughs quietly at Vivian’s reaction. Not in a cruel way, she was merely amused. Having grown up in this town, she doesn’t find it to be all that amazing. “What do you think of London?” She asks, a small smile on her way as she leads the way to the dress shop. There’s a good amount of people milling about. Carriages are pulled through the streets and stores are dotted every few feet. The city is large and beautiful. She can appreciate the beauty, just not the craziness that comes with it.

She shrugged. "I don't have the words. It's beautiful." She was tempted to keep talking, but remained aware of her status. So she kept silent.

@LolaBug

With a quiet sigh, she enters the dress shop. What has she expected? An actual conversation? None of the serving people will say more than a few words to her. She can’t exactly blame them, they were taught that speaking to her is wrong.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian followed Theodosia inside, looking around with wide eyes at all the colourful fabrics around her. Her Lady sighed, however, and Vivian looked over at her. Was she doing something wrong? Did her Lady actually want her to speak up? She'd try speaking again, and gauge her reaction. "I think the purple would look stunning on you, ma'am," she tried.

@LolaBug

Theodosia looks at a couple of different fabrics, examining the quality of the silk and the durability of the cotton. Glancing over her shoulder, she smiles in appreciation. “Thank you, Vivian. Would you like to help me pick something out?” She doesn’t do well with these things according to Richard.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian let herself smile. "I would love to." She nodded towards a rack at the other end of the shop of walking suits.

@LolaBug

"The dress needs to have some form of pearls or lace. Richard is picky about that." Theodosia follows after Vivian, wondering about her opinion on everything.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian pauses, looking around, before quickly making a decision and heading for the far shelves. She was getting excited, no doubt about it.
She stopped in front of a pastel pink chiffon dress with a pearl-lined collar and lace stitching at each hem.

@LolaBug

Theodosia examines the dress that had been chosen. "Oh, it's lovely." The pink is beautiful and the pearls and lace will please her husband. She calls over the store owner and begins to discuss price and measurements. The dress can be ready before the party, thankfully.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian stands quietly, watching wistfully as Theodosia is measured and the dress is bought. She's pleased, however, that her choice was accepted.

@LolaBug

Theodosia purchases a few more things before getting her new items all boxed up. She gathers the packages and heads out of the store. Dinner will be served soon and she can't be late.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian rushed to catch up with Theodosia, taking them from her and carrying them herself.

@LolaBug

Theodosia thanks Vivian for the assistance. They soon arrive back at the house. Luckily, the make it back before dinner is being served.

@LolaBug

(Should we skip?)

@amber_is_in_a_loop

(Sure! To when?)

@LolaBug

(Mmm……maybe to a couple of weeks later so they have a stronger friendship?)

@LolaBug

(Bump…….)

@amber_is_in_a_loop

(Hey sorry! I'm about to have dinner but I'll be online after!)

@LolaBug

(It's fine! Okay!)

@amber_is_in_a_loop

(I am so sorry, again! School has started up again so my timing might get weird)
(also yes, that time skip sounds good)

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian stands right outside the dinner hall, waiting with a laden tray to be called in to serve Theodosia and her husband dinner.
(Is this okay?)

@LolaBug

(It's perfectly fine! I know how busy things can get. :) Your post looks good)

Theodosia sits on her knees in the bathroom, head in the toilet as she looses what’s left in her stomach. She’s horribly sick and miserable. With a groan, she throws up again before resting her forehead of the side of the toilet. She's exhausted and tempted to just curl up on the floor and go to sleep. Forcing herself to stand, she brushes her teeth, combs her hair and pulls it into a messy braid, and adjusts her soft white nightgown. She frowns slightly at how snug it feels around her chest. The nightgown had been purchased a month ago so it should still fit. She sighs quietly before shuffling out of the bathroom and heading back to bed despite it being evening. Only a second later, Addie leaps up and lays down next to her. With a quiet sigh, she relaxes against a feather stuffed pillow and Addie rests her head on her stomach. The dog whines and nudges her with her nose. “Not now, Addie,” She grumbles, shutting her eyes in a fruitless effort to sleep. She’s pretty certain that she has a cold or something equally as awful. Due to the extreme nausea, she can’t eat or even smell food cooking. And she’s so tired. She’s especially miserable since she very rarely gets sick. Needless to say, it’s been a rough time for her but she’s managed to power through until today. She cancelled her tea time with the wives of her husband's rich friends and decided to just stay in bed.
Richard enters the room a few minutes later, a look of disapproval on his face. "The doctor will be around shortly. Get out of bed and make yourself look presentable." That's all that he says to her before leaving the room once more.
Sighing quietly, she carefully climbs out of bed and approaches the wardrobe. Getting examined by the doctor while wearing her nightgown is far from appropirate. She needs to suck it up and deal with it for just a few hours. Then she can go right back to bed and rest properly.
Richard approaches Vivian a few minutes later, a scowl on his face. "Leave serving dinner to someone else. Go upstairs and help my wife get dressed." The order is sharp and to the point. With that said, he turns and walks into the dining room.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

With a dry nod, Vivian turned and handed the tray to another new recruit who had come running. Tugging her apron off, she fetched some medicinal equipment before rushing upstairs to aid Theodosia. Her room was silent save for the occasional creaking of a floorboard or tired sigh. Vivian paused at the door, listening for a moment before knocking gently.

@LolaBug

Selecting a simple green dress from the wardrobe, she steps into the bathroom to get dressed. A knock on the door alerts her to the presence of someone else. The doctor couldn't have arrived yet and Richard doesn't knock. That means it one of the serving girls. "Come in!" She calls out as she wiggles into the dress. All that's left now is to lace it up and to brush out her hair.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian shouldered the door open and found the bathroom door open slightly open. "Miss Theodosia?" she called out gently, walking towards the bathroom. "How are you feeling?"

@LolaBug

Theodosia sucks in her breath before quickly and expertly lacing up the back of her dress. Another wave of nausea rolls over her but she forces herself not to throw up again. She picks up her comb and begins to brush her hair. "Not very well."

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Vivian rushed to her side, taking the comb from Theodosia and sitting her down on the edge of the tub. "Let me do that." She started combing through Theodosia's hair, keeping one soft hand on the woman's forehead. "I have a warm compress for your fever, it might help you last the appointment."

@LolaBug

Theodosia sighs softly before accepting the help and sitting down on the edge of the tub. Having some help will be nice. "Thank you, Vivian, I appreciate this." The appointment isn't something that she's looking forward to so she's happy to see a friendly face before she has to deal with the doctor.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

"Of course, miss. Anything." And she meant it— at this point, she would have done anything in the world if it were to help her Lady. She finished brushing, and pulled back the woman's hair into a loose but proper bun. "Face me, ma'am, please."
