18th Century Young America Murder Mystery (1-3 people) (Open)

Nearing the turn of the 19th century, (1799) a young man in his twenties meets an attractive woman around his same age. The two court for months, slowly falling in love with each other. Things are going well until the woman is found dead, beaten and waterlogged at the bottom of a well. The man she was courting becomes an almost immediate suspect due to witnesses seeing him with her around the well on the night of her murder. The man is innocent, but not everyone knows that. How ever will he prove himself innocent to his hometown?

Basically the trial of Levi Weeks for the murder of Elma Sands, but with new characters

Personality: He’s generally quiet to people he doesn’t know very well and can seem coldly aloof, however after sitting with him for a few drinks or watching him work and talking in a place he feels comfortable, he’ll warm up to pretty much anyone. He likes studying about birds and enjoys bird watching with his friends, intrigued by clouds, and prefers milk with his coffee instead of cream.

Background: Ezra had a pretty normal life growing up with his family. They weren’t too well known outside of their hometown, they had a decent house, and his parents had a total of three children. His sister, Rose, unfortunately died of illness when she was young. His brother grew up and made a name for himself through politics, and he earned a lot of money, which he used to help Ezra kickstart his Carpenter business with a decent house and barn
