The boy flinched, but clearly calmed as the man rested his hand on his own. He took another sigh, his breathing calming and his sweet smile becoming slowly more genuine.
“Yes, I am,” he said, infinitely thankful that his voice was stronger than before. “And, I apologize about Rio. I… I actually assume I should be apologizing to him, no?”
Ryn took a moment and looked back to where the other man walked off, dropping his head and letting out a breath.
“I assure you I can explain my actions, your highness,” the boy continued, meeting Arien’s eyes once more. “While what he said, I have no proof of denying, but I do know my side of the story, and I apologize greatly for it. Had I known this was the outcome, I would have acted much differently.”
