"I told you, it'll be fine," Ilya whined, pressing close to Nathaniel with wide pleading eyes. "So please kiss me. Pretty please! With a cherry on top!"
"But that suggests you aren't fine when you say you will be fine. I want you to be honest with me, love."
Ilya sighed and curled inwards slightly, resting his head on Nathaniel's shoulder. "I am being honest. I just… I don't want to worry you with my problems when you already have so much on your plate."
"Hey, your problems are my problems, and vice versa… I want to help you. You just have to let me." Nathaniel combed through Ilya's hair gently with his fingers.
"But that's so hard," Ilya whined playfully, turning to nuzzle Nathaniel's neck. "I'm not used to people like you, Nathaniel. It's not easy to just… spill."
"I know, but I'm not gonna let you lie to me… It's against my nature." Nathaniel, while technically fallen, was still an angel. He didn't like lying, and he was terrible at it.
"Technically I'm not lying to you," Ilya mumbled, stalling. "I can't actually lie, it makes my throat close up. But I am twisting the truth so I guess that's the same thing."
Nathaniel nodded. "That's besides the point. I won't let you continue until I know you're okay."
Ilya sighed against Nathaniel's neck, but he answered the question. "Honestly, my side really hurts and I feel really drained and I just wanna cuddle and kiss and forget about what happened for a little while."
"Alrighty. Well, I know you can summon things, so go ahead and take some pain meds. Then we can continue."

"Bossy." Ilya summoned the painkillers anyways, waving them in from the bedroom and dry swallowing three. He looked up at Nathaniel expectantly when he was done.
"There ya go. See? That wasn't so hard." Nathaniel pulled Ilya close to kiss him again.
Ilya sighed happily and leaned in, running his hands over Nathaniel's back and then tangling one into his hair to deepen the kiss. "Maybe for you. It's weird for me to talk about this kind of stuff."
"I know, love… your health is important to me, though…" Nathaniel kissed Ilya more passionately, driven by his own emotions and desire.
Ilya kissed back with just as much passion and just as much need. He kept his arms locked around Nathaniel, needy and desperate. "Can we do more? Please?"
"What do you mean, 'more'?" Nathaniel looked up at Ilya, panting. "What more is there?"
