i don’t really have any ideas but i wanna get the creative juices flowing again and work with someone new. the only guidelines i have is i want a high school romance. i’m down for a straight romance or lgbt+, whichever suits your fancy. my rules are pretty basic, keep cursing leashed and not too terribly crazy, steamy scenes will venture to pms, the goods. otherwise let’s get this ball rolling.

i like the second one. maybe we could include the soulmate soulmark trope, whether it be the clock one or which ever one you think fits best. i’ve always wanted to play around with that field but never have gotten the chance.
for instance, taking into consideration everything we’ve put on the table: a highschool soulmate romance, the boy being a new kid at the highschool, and they meet in a class and then the soulmark comes into play (via whichever trope version we choose). also i feel like it should be winter time? or like fall and the season is about to change? idk, that’s the vibe i get from this.

yea of course ! the basis is each person has a soulmark in some way related to their soulmate. for example, a clock tattooed (typically on the wrist or forearm) that counts down, hitting zeros when the pair finally meet. or a handprint where ever your soulmate first touches you, for example a handprint along your neck (sorry i’ve been watching too many tik toks) and a handprint on your soulmates wrist (you can imagine that situation). of course there are a million other versions but those are the first two i thought of. i can give examples of a few others if you need.

Kendra sat in front of her vanity table a curling wand in her hair and more than half of her hair already curled. She had already done her makeup, keeping it natural of course, and had her outfit laid out on her bed. For once in her life she felt put together, like she could conquer anything. But of course, it was just school she was getting ready for. She flipped her hand over and stared at the marking on her hand. she quickly shook it off and went back to curling her hair.

Ceto stared at herself in the mirror, her bright blue eyes staring back at her, unblinking. She had just taken a shower, and her hair was soaking wet. She'd always hated how young she looked, although she thought she looked better when her hair was wet. The water straightened her hair just a little bit, and then it wasn't so curly. Her soulmark peeked out of the white hoodie (ref) she was wearing, though her hoodie wasn't so white anymore after all these years of use. A yellow hand towel lay on the table in front of her, and she grabbed it off of the table, using it to wring out the water from her hair.
Kendra finished curling her red-orange lions mane, and switched off the curling wand. she shook her head gently and pulled her hand through the curls a couple times to loosen them. Afterwords, she pulled on a loose fitting white knit sweater and a short black pencil skirt. she sat on the floor and pulled on some wedged ankle boots and stood up, and then nearly falling back over. Her phone alarm went off on the bed next to her and scared her. She quickly turned it off and went back to getting ready.
