Ariella just held him silently, brushing back his hair and rocking them softly.

Amyntas shudders, “I-I d-didn’t mean i-it…”
"I know," she said in a quiet voice.

He whimpers, silent.
"It's okay," she lied.

He shakes his head, whining.
She rubbed his head, brushing through his hair.

Amyntas hiccups, shaking slightly.
"I've got you. I'm not letting you go."

Amyntas grips onto her, still trembling.
Ariella continued to stroke back his hair. She placed a small kiss on the top of his head.

Amyntas eventually goes quiet, tears staining the pillow.
"It's okay. I've got you." She whispered into his hair. "Do you want to talk about it now?"

He shakes his head, silent. He felt…embarrassed…He always used to hide away when he was like this. Now he was exposed. He felt so weak.
"Please, talk to me. It won't get any better if you keep it to yourself." Ariella pleaded with him.

He shakes his head again, biting his lip.
"Please Amyntas. You need to tell me. I will find out sooner or later. I would rather you tell me than someone else." Ariella looked down at him.

He shakes his head. “I don’t want anyone knowing…”
"You need to tell someone. I won't tell anyone else. Who am I going to tell? I don't know anyone here." Ariella placed her hand on his cheek.

He shakes his head, “You could tell someone! You could be lying! Or you could tell him and-“ He whines.
"Tell who? I don't know anyone here. I don't tell secrets. I've kept who I am from everyone. I haven't told anyone." Technically she hadn't. Amyntas had just guessed.

Amyntas shakes his head, going silent.
"Amyntas please, talk to me. I give you my word I won't say anything." She stroked his cheek gently.

He shakes his head again. “No…”
"Amyntas, tell me, please." She gripped his chin and made him look at her.

He pulls away. “No…”
Ariella only gripped him tighter. "Amyntas, please."

He pushes at her. “No!”
