A soulmate made of marble reboot ((one-on-one//closed))

There is a beautiful statue of a person in the middle of a large city, and the rumor surrounding the stature is that when they touch hands with their soulmate, they will become human. Naturally, it becomes a perfect photo opportunity to pose while holding its hand.
One cute selfie attempt later results in an empty statue podium and you just barely catching a very confused person in your arms.

So I had this idea last night and created a thread but it didn’t really take off so I, rebooting it. Kinda want this to be gay but I don’t mind. I’ll post a temp if anyone’s interested.

Appearance: Slightly long dirty blonde hair - fluffy and always soft to the touch. Tanned, sun-kissed skin, clear complexion. Has light freckles over his nose and his cheeks. Full lips and a button nose. Big blue eyes with flecks of gold. Muscled but not ripped - it's defined, though (definitely has a six pack) around 5’7 foot tall. Wears a lot of tight shirts and shorts, as well as tank tops occasionally. Big and warm smile. Wears a silver ring on his middle finger on his right hand and a silver locket around his neck.
Personality: Very much puts up a front that he's tough and a badass guy and at times he is but he really is a scardy cat. He's much like an over grown kitten. Loves cuddles, loves having his hair played with (it's a very big weakness of his) He's very kind and sweet to everyone, though can snap and get very mad if you wrong him. He really hard working and driven with everything he does. He is very loyal and protective of those he loves.
Background: Leo grew up as the fifth child in a family of seven (including his parents, he was the youngest) He was always the most forgotten out of them all but he didn't really care. Luckily all his older brothers went to a different school to him for multiple reasons and Leo also didn't want to go to the same one so he wasn't in anybody's shadow. He has an athletic build, again being statue didn't change that.
Personality: Elijah is headstrong and stubborn. He doesn't like not getting his way, hence why he was turned into a statue. He made a witch mad by demanding something of her and he got cursed to be a statue until the perfect person came along that could help him change. There are few people that have seen his passionate side. There are a few things he loves doing but he does it with all his heart, like his paintings.
Background: Elijah was born over a century ago. He was born into a noble family. He was used to getting his way. He had servants to wait on him day and night and his family was rich enough to get him whatever he wanted. He approached a witch one day with a wish in mind. When she refused, he threw a fit and she turned him to a statue. The only way he could be turned back to a human was to find the perfect person

The good thing about autumn, in Leo's opinion, was that it wasn't too hot and wasn't too cold. The heat from summer was fading and the chill from winter was starting to finally have some bite to it. It was sunny, though the sun didn't have any heat to it this morning but the male didn't care. He was on holidays for a couple weeks and he thanked god that he finally was. University had him busy most days and he barely got a break… until now.

Now, when people think of a tourist attraction, a park isn't something people think of. But there was a statue that had drawn a lot of attention. Leo didn't quite believe in the legends around the statue and no matter how many times his friends begged him to take one photo, he refused. Unfortunately for Leo, he'd lost a bet and now had to take the photo. And that was what he was currently doing.

There was only a small crowd that morning so it didn't take long for Leo to get to the front, taking a moment to just look at the statue before he slid his hand into the statues and took a quick selfie.

"You arrogant little fool. You dare command me? Me? I am the all-powerful Witch Marsilla. I do not obey the commands of little boys who think they are worth more than they believe they are. I have seen your future, you will be nothing more than a foolish man who cries when he doesn't get his way. You will be the downfall of your House, your family name will be dishonored. All because you are a spoiled child who doesn't like getting his way. And for this, I curse you into marble, a statute forever, until the only person who can help guide to change your ways comes in contact with you. I do so hope that you learn to change, for if not, you will turn back to stone." The witch muttered ancient words and the world around him began to spin. He began hyperventilating as his feet turned to stone. It began creeping up his legs and torso until his body was completely stone. Centuries past and still he was stone. He had given up all hope.

At the touch of the boy's skin, his fingers turned to flesh. Slowly, the stone began crumbling away revealing a boy in very outdated clothing. As the last of the stone fell from his body, he took his first breath, a gasp really.

As the statue crumbled away, Leo placed his phone in his pocket and watched with wide eyes. He coulnd't believe it, even though he was clearly seeing it with his own two eyes. He blinked once, then twice and then the statue- man - was falling and Leo was quick to catch him so he didn't hit the floor and hurt himself.
