Tolly kissed him gently on the forehead before padding out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. He pulled out a frying pan, deciding to make Cas a breakfast in bed.
He relaxed back into sleep, staying that way until later that morning. He woke up around 10:00, stretching and sitting up. "Tolly?" He called, glancing around the bedroom before standing up
"I'll be there in a second, Hon!" Tolly gathered a couple plates of food and carried them into the bedroom, setting them down beside Cas. He'd gone a little overboard and made chocolate chip pancakes to go with the boring eggs and bacon breakfast he'd planned, but Cas would probably like it so he wasn't too bothered. "I made you breakfast in bed!"
Cas sat back down on the bed and smiled up at Tolly, "how'd you know chocolate chip was my favorite?" He asked with a laugh, patting the spot next to him "you really didn't have to, but thank you."
"It's no problem," Tolly said, sitting beside Cas and picking up a strip of bacon. "I woke up early anyway, I figured I should do something productive."
Cas took a bite of the food and nodded in appreciation "well it came out amazing. Again thank you." He said, leaning into him
"I'm glad!" Tolly said, easing his arm behind Cas' waist to pull him closer. "I haven't made pancakes since Fey was a kid, so it's good to have some practice"
"well, she's missing out." He laughed and took another bite of the food, leaning into tilt more
“Aww,” Tooly cooed, ruffling his hair playfully, “I’m glad you liked it! If you keep the ingredients stocked, I can always cook you some more when I’m over here.”
He laughed and nodded "they'll always be in stock. I'll make sure of it." He promised, finishing off the last pancake and eating the eggs. He turned the plate and offered Tolly the rest of the bacon
Tolly munched on it happily. "Y'know… I could teach you how to make these yourself," he said between bites. "It's actually a really simple recipe."
"really? I'm not much of a cook, most things end up burnt. That trait never got passed down from mom." He laughed "but I'd love to learn!"
"Don't worry! I've been cooking forever, I won't let you catch your house on fire or anything." Tolly grabbed Cas' hands, smiling brightly. "It would be wonderful to cook with you."
He smiled and blushed "good, cuz I need as much teaching as possible if I don't want to end up eating take out for the rest of my life."
"Oh god!" Tolly shot him a surprised look, appalled. "I might have to move in with you if you've been eating that shit all year!"
He shook his head "not all year, there's the occasional fast food salads and pizza," he smiled sweetly "and then those nights where I'm too lazy to eat and accidently fall asleep trying to decide what to eat."
Tolly frowned, scooting a bit closer and pulling Cas into his lap. "That's not healthy, Babe! Come over to my place sometimes so I can make you some real food."
He sighed and leaned into his chest "you don't have to do that, I'm fine, really. It's be asking too much of you anyways."
Tolly stroked his hand up and down Cas' back. "I want to do it. You're my human, I need to provide for you. Keep you healthy and happy and shit."
He rolled his eyes "dear, I'm thin as a stick. I need a little meat on my bones. And as for happy, I don't think I've ever been happier." He nuzzled I to Tolly's chest and closed his eyes
Tolly smiled softly at him, reaching up to play with his hair. "Good! I'm glad I can make you happy! And I'm definitely going to get some food in you, you're way too small."
He laughed and rolled his eyes "yet I still managed to beat the shit outta a senior." He smirked "punk tried to break into the shop."
Tolly frowned, pulling Cas a little closer. "What a dickhead! Why would anyone try to do that?"
"like I've said before, people normally don't know what I do. He thought he could get high off something in there."he shrugged "the only thing he got was a detention and a bloody nose."
Tolly laughed quietly. "Serves him right! Y'know, people might stop asking for drugs if you made the shop a little more approachable. It's so spooky right now with all that dark wood and dust."
He shrugged "it's how mom.liked to keep it. Mysterious and intriguing. If you want to know what's inside, all you have to do is step in. But that's the hard part, isn't it? Crossing the line?" He mused with a soft smile "mom and dad love their mystery."
"I'm just saying, more people would think it was credible if you painted it something more cheerful." He paused, leaning down to kiss Cas on the cheek. "Then again, I think the mystery is kinda fun. If I never explored the shop, I never would've met you."
"exactly, plus if I painted it a cheerful color, mom would kill me. She's more into the dark aesthetic. Kinda like a twisted Alice in wonderland. All the craziness with some darkness that draws you in."
Tolly laughed. "Your mom sounds like my sister going through her emo phase. But… I guess the aesthetic is nice. I can see why you wouldn't wanna change it, even if it attracts shithead kids."
He laughed and nodded "yeah, I think she got stuck in that phase and never left. And yeah it does attract those kids but also attracts people who genuinely care about what I do and seek the products."
