An angel on Earth (O/O closed)

Kelton glared at Providence's mother, glancing at his father. "Excuse me, where are you going to take him?"

“We’re taking him home.” His father answered calmly, shifting his eyes towards Kelton for a moment. “We won’t hurt him. It’s a waste of energy. Humans are not meant to live long. Their purpose is to live meaningless lives and then die. You know that, Providence. You are not meant to be with this boy.” He told Providence sternly.

"Aren't you supposed to help humans find their soulmates?" Kelton started. "Yet, here you are, taking my soulmate away from me." He crossed his arms and kept glaring at them.

"He is not your soulmate. I forbid it. He is not wasting 70 years of his life on someone as fragile and useless as–"

Providence took a step towards them. "But you can make him immortal! I've seen–"

"Shut your mouth." His father snapped, looking back at Providence with a glare.

"But we can be together! It wasn't a mistake! You know it wasn't!" He tried again, this time being shoved back by his mother who held him by the chin, clamping his mouth shut.

"Don't talk to your father that way." She growled, her nails digging into the side of his face.

"You don't even know anything about me!" Kelton said. "I'm not letting you take him away unless you give me a proper chance."

"How are you going to stop us?" He laughed. "Are you going to fight me?" He shook his head, still laughing.

"I might, you never know," Kelton replied, slipping his hands into his pockets. "Also, why don't you ask him if he wants to leave or not?"

"He doesn't have a choice. He knows the force of our power. He knows I could kill you with a wave of my hand." His father said angrily, glancing back at Providence for a moment. "Or maybe.." He grinned wikedly. "If you love being here so much, let's just make it permanent, shall we?"

Providence's eyes widened for a moment, a little flicker of hope in his mind, before he realized what his father meant. He tried shaking his head, tears beginning to stream down his face.

His father grabbed Providence by the head and pressed their foreheads together, closing his eyes. Blue mist began to seep out of Providence's hands, eyes, mouth, and chest and enter his father's body.

Providence let out a strangled cry as the last of the mist left his body, collapsing to the ground a second later.

"What are you doing?!" Kelton yelled, catching Providence when he fell to the ground. "Providence, Providence, are you okay?" He muttered, looking over his body and checking his pulse. He glared at Providence's parents with a look that could kill. "What did you do to him?!"

"What was needed. He'll wake up in a few hours." His father said calmly, a hint of sadness in his voice. He began to fade away along with the women until they were completely gone, no trace of their visit left.

Kelton looked over Providence, picking him up and gently laying him down in his bed. "Please be alright…" He mumbled, looking stressed as he sat down in front of him.

Providence moaned quietly, curling up on the bed like he was in pain. His body shook silently while he was unconcious, fists clenched hard, turning his knuckles white.

Kelton looked worried as he fiddled with the hem of his shirt, waiting for Providence to wake up. Please be okay, please.

Providence awoke with a small gasp of pain, his body flushed with fever. He tried sitting up but pain coursed through him, forcing him back on his elbows. "Kelton?" He asked quietly, voice trembling. "What am I doing here?"

Kelton jumped a bit in surprise but quickly bent down next to Providence. "Your father said something about making you stay here permanently, then did something to you and left." He looked over his face. "How do you feel?"

"I..I don't know.." Providence replied, wincing slightly. "Everything hurts..I can't feel my.." He fell silent, looking down at the bed. "I'm not awake, right? This is a bad dream. It's not real..I want to wake up, Kelton.."
I can't feel my magic..or my wings..they're gone..

"You're already awake, Providence," Kelton said gently, gently holding his hand. "And what can't you feel?"

Providence felt his world shattering around him. His brain went numb and he laid back down on the bed, ignoring the throbbing pain in his back and chest. Tears slowly rolled down his cheeks as he stared at nothing in front of him. "It's all gone..he took it away.." He whispered. "Everything…"

"What did they take?" Kelton asked, hugging him and rubbing his back in an attempt to calm him. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"My wings…my magic.." Providence murmured, still staring blankly in front of him. "They turned me human.." His voice cracked and he fell silent, trembling slightly.
