Cas followed Nick back to the castle and up into their room.

Nick was actually a bit relieved that he had managed to find his way without getting lost. “Home sweet home.”
"Well, almost." Cas shrugged and flopped down on the bed with his new cat in his arms.
“Careful, Nyx might get jealous,” Nick teased, sitting down on the other side of the bed and kicking off his shoes.
"Nyx is welcome to come up too." Cas yawned, patting the bed beside him so the fluffy black cat would jump up beside him.
Nick smiled. "You and your cats," he muttered with a slight shake of his head, still smiling.
"They're my babies." Cas said simply. "I'm gay, so it's not like I'm having human kids any time soon."
Nick chuckled at his forwardness and began to pet Nyx. "Well, at least they don't cry all the time," he replied, half joking.
"Eh… debatable." Cas snickered, scratching behind Nix's ears. "They can get pretty whiny if they don't get enough attention."
"Sounds like someone else I know," Nick teased, glancing at Cas.
Cas rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. I'm basically a big cat baby."
"A big cute cat baby," Nick replied with a smirk.
He stuck his tongue out a bit, though he couldn't hide his blush. "Am not."
"Are too," Nick replied teasingly, sticking his tongue out to mirror Cas. Though of course he exaggerated a bit.
"I'm not cute." He insisted, crossing his arms and looking away.
"Yes you are," Nick argued, leaning in.
"Nooooo!" He leaned back until he fell backwards onto the bed.
"Yesssssss!" Nick cried, giggling. He fell back next to Cas.
Cas huffed indignantly. "You're the cute one, not me."
Nick laughed. "That is not true. You're definitely the cute one."
He whined again, hiding his red face in his hands.
"See! You do cute stuff like that!" Nick said, moving a bit closer to him.
Cas peered up at Nick from between his fingers. "You're so mean to me." He teased.
Nick laughed softly. "All in a day's work," he teased back, wrapping his arms around Cas.
Cas tucked his head under Nick's chin and immediately cuddled closer to him. "I love you…"
"I love you too, kitten," he responded, the nickname coming to him quickly.
Cas blushed bright red at the pet name, and he quickly buried his face in Nick's shoulder to try, and fail, to hide it.
Nick grinned, snuggling up to Cas. "You're so cute when you blush," he teased, planting a kiss on the top of Cas's head.
"Nick…" He whined, glancing up at Nick from where he was with a pout on his face.
Nick laughed before kissing Cas’s forehead and then his cheek, and finally his mouth.
