Sylas nodded politely to Jonathan, "Could you excuse us? Someone I've been wanting to meet just walked in." He was making up an excuse to get them away from him obviously and he looked towards a gentleman who had just entered to make it seem real.
An Ulterior Motive // One-On-One // PRIVATE
Mickey was grateful for Sylas. He'd always been able to read her body language and expressions even when she tried to hide it. "Thanks, Sylas," She said when they were out of Jonathan's earshot.
"Anytime." He replied, looking over at her, "What did you find out about the other agents?" He steered them towards the main doors before looping around, casually but respectfully walking through the people.
"Not much," She answered. "Other than the fact that he's figured out I'm related to them." Her heart was still racing, and she could feel her hands shaking even though they were flat against her body.
Sylas nodded and continued walking around, "Well then, I think it's time to start searching around on our own. They can't be too far away I don't think."
"Wherever they are, it can't be a good place. I heard the call Gracie made before they took her back, and it wasn't good."
"Then let's start searching." He said, looking for any hallways or anything off of the room the party was currently in.
Mickey surveyed the room once more to see who was of interest before following Sylas.
(hey I'm going on school camp for the next 4 days so I won't be online)
(Alrighty have fun!)
Slyas headed down the hallway that looked the least used and glanced at Mickey, making sure she was still there and hadn't gotten taken.
She nodded to him to say that she was fine, and snuck in front of them. Sylas might be male, but she had the higher clearance and was more skilled.
He continued walking, keeping his cool and calm demeanor up and trying to act as much like a guest and not a agent as he could.
Mickey poked her head around the corner. When she saw guards there, she came back and looked in her purse for the right gadget.
He stopped as she looked around the corner and waited patiently, keeping a hand on his hidded knife.
She pulled out the gadget, and then slung her purse over her shoulder. She motioned to Sylas to stay where he was before she strutted towards the two guards, sexily so that she was distracting them.
Sylas huffed inaudibly but stayed where he was, casually leaning against the wall while he waited with a hand still on his knife.
"Hello little lady," One of the guards said. "What are you doing here? Party's upstairs."
"Oh, I just seem to be lost," Mickey drawled, playing her hand on the guards chest. "Can you help me back?"
As he waited for her to finish he started looking around, admiring the hallway with a nod. He'd have to take some notes and redecorate his place.
"We can't leave our post," The other guard said. "But we could make an exception for such a pretty lady like you." Mickey smiled, but they didn't know what her smile really meant.
"Hurry up Mickey.." He huffed under his breath, tapping his foot impatiently.
Mickey smiled more seductively, then her knee came up and hit the guard's crotch. She turned to fight the second one as the first doubled over.
Sylas looked around the corner again, just in time to see the guard double over and Mickey attacking the other one. He stepped out from behind the corner and started towards the guards to help.
"Ha!" Mickey yelled as the two guards fell unconscious. She fixed her hair and then used her glasses to figure out the identities of the guards.
"Nice job." He said calmly, walking to her and looking around, "Is this where we're supposed go?"
Mickey looked through the door with her glasses, then nodded. She walked over to the key pad and unlocked it quickly and without hesitation.
Sylas took his knife out just in case as the door opened, leaning against the wall again with a slightly bored look on his face.
Mickey stared at him before they were due to go in. "What if we don't finished this assignment? What if we get in there only to end up where we started?"
"You worry too much, we'll be fine. Let's just head through this door and if we don't find them then we move on to wherever to check next." He turned to the door without a second glance at her and twirled his knife once.
Mickey took a deep breath, knowing that this mission was close to her heart. Her family had been missing for months, and they'd only just gotten word of where they were.
He opened the unlocked door and stepped inside, keeping to the wall as he looked around.
Empty, as I thought it might be, Mickey said in her thoughts, looking around and investigating the items in the room.
