She smiled happily and nodded, "Thank you. It's not nearly as good as some models but I'm proud of it."
"And it became Human, in most ways that mattered." // OxO // OPEN
Alexei nodded. "Yes, of course. How long did it take you to build?"
"The first model of it took me three years I think? And I've been building and modifying it to this day since then," She explained, shrugging. Her first model had been tiny and just enough to get her off her home planet, held together shakily and almost falling apart again when she tried landing again. But slowly it had come together.
Alexei nodded a little bit at that. "Ah. of course. You have been making it better, no?"
Thesa nodded, patting the wall of her ship, "I've constantly been making it better. almost nothing besides part of the frame of this ship is from the original, as I've been trying to remake it stronger every time it gets broken."
"Of course. That makes sense. And when you crashed into the Daedalus, you had to make repairs, yes?"
"That's correct," She replied, chuckling lightly, "That's why the front of my ship doesn't really match the back if you look closely."
He nodded again, looking around the ship.
Thesa turned around in the space and pointed back at a small hatch near the entrance to the ship, "That's storage, and where I keep all my food. And with that, everything important on my ship has been shown to you."
Alexei nodded again. "I see. Thank you for the tour, miss Thesa." He said.
"No problem," She replied, smiling at the inventor and looking around her ship for a minute longer. There were so many stories in everything there, and if someone would listen, she would eagerly tell all of them. But that wasn't going to happen, so she instead stayed quiet.
Alexei looked around. "So where are you from originally?"
"Originally I'm from Grinter." Thesa shrugged, thinking back to the agricultural planet that had been her home years ago, "Specifically a farm, like almost everyone that lives there."
He nodded a little. "I see." he replied.
"I know you're originally from Earth, from your accent mostly, but where do you live now? On your ship or on an actual planet?" She asked, leaning against the wall.
"I live on the ship, for the most part, though I keep a home on earth for when I visit."
She nodded, asking another question just to keep the conversation going, "Is your home on Earth as nice as your ship is?"
"Yes." He replied simply. "It's an older home." He shrugged.
Thesa nodded, trying to imagine what Earth had been like the last time she had been to the planet to deliver things.
"I've had to keep on top of repairs for it, of course, but it's worth it."
"Do you live in one of the cities or out in the country?" She asked, having nothing else to do but ask questions.
"In a city." He replied, nodding his head. "Moscow."
"That's in the old European landmass, right?" She guessed, thinking back to the basics that she had learned about the planet Earth.
"Yes. Old Russia." Alexei replied with a nod.
She nodded back, tucking the new name of a country away in her memory.
Alexei ran a hand through his hair, thinking for a moment.
“Do you have any suggestions that could help me improve my ship?” Thesa asked, looking over at Alexei with her question.
Alexei shook his head. "It is not my ship. There are things I would add to my own that you wouldn't."
She shrugged, motioning to the ship, "Still, what would you add? I need ideas anyway, even if you would add things that I wouldn't."
"Hm. I would add space to work on inventions, though I do not believe that would appeal to you."
