There was that word again. Disgusting. It filled him with dread. His mother had used that word against him. The more he thought of it the more his dread turned to anger.
Quinn snapped.
He nearly tackled the other male, throwing the first punch with a snarl.
The boy hasn’t been expecting it, the lunch landing straight in his nose and causing a snap. Broken.
That ticked him off, not even caring about the blood trickling down his shirt he swung another punch back.

The fist connected with Quinn’s cheek, knocking him off balance. He cried out angrily, eyes glaring daggers into the other male. By this point in time other students had begun to notice what was going on. Quinn’s blood only boiled harder, squaring himself up to the other male and continuing the fight.
The male dodge most of Quinn's attacks, some manage to hit him in the gut. He punched back, swinging punch after punch.
"Quinn stop!" Ollie called out from the side. He didn't want to see his boyfriend get even more hurt.

The sudden call caught Quinn off guard. He glanced over at Ollie and received a rather painful blow to his stomach. He gasped and staggered back, already bruised and sporting a bloody nose as he was rather awful at fighting. He spat in the direction of the other male. "It's people like you that ruin our world."
The other male just laughed, "People like me? No, I think you've got it wrong, it's people like you that ruin our world." The male looked like he was about to swing another punch, when a teacher intervened.
"Both of you, principle's office, now." She said, nodding to the front doors before she turned to Ollie, "You too, young man."

Quinn let out a long line of curses, glaring at the teacher who broke them apart. The male offered his hand to Ollie, needing some sort of comfort at this time.
Ollie gladly took Quinn’s hand, worried for the injuries that he’s sustained from he fight. He felt bad for distracting him at the time.
The teacher led the three of them through the school and dropped them off outside the principles office.

Quinn did look rather rough. His eye was beginning to blacken and his nose was still leaking blood. He couldn't tell if the metallic taste in his mouth was from his nose, his split lip, or his bitten tongue.
But Quinn didn't regret the fight. In fact he felt great. All of his pent up anger had finally released itself and he found himself strangely calm. He moved closer to Ollie and leaned against him, both for comfort and to piss off the homophobic jerk that had been the cause of all this.
The other guy sat across from them, arms crossed and glaring right at the two of them.
Ollie felt strangely uncomfortable with the attention Quinn was giving him. Mainly because it felt mostly like he was just doing it to get back at the other guy. But he didn't complain nor did he move away but he didn't look at the two of them.
The principle walked out her office and called the other guy in, telling Quinn and Ollie to wait where they were.

When the other guy left, Quinn completely relaxed against Ollie and gently nuzzled into his neck. “What a jerk.” He huffed, his fingers playing with Quinn’s hand.
Ollie sighed softly, nodding a little, “Yeah.” He mumbled, letting Quinn do as he please.

Quinn nuzzled into Ollie’s neck and whined softly. “I hurt…”
"Then… maybe you shouldn't have got into a fight." Ollie replied, sighing softly through his nose.

“But he made me mad… and I was just so done with hearing people hate on us because we love each other.” He huffed, frowning deeply.
"Just because he made you angry doesn't mean you should have hit him." He wrapped his arms around his stomach, "You… You have to be the bigger person and ignore it."

Quinn scowled. “How could I ignore that after everything that’s happened!?”
"I don't know! But punching him in the face isn't going to do shit Quinn, it makes things worse. People are dick heads, there's always going to be people like him in the world you just have to ignore it, move on and focus on yourself."

Quinn sat up, grinding his teeth. “I don’t want to move on. It’s not fair. None of this is fair. Why do they get to say things about us?! Why do they get away with it!?” Quinn cursed loudly, holding back his tears.
"They shouldn't get away with it. But there's nothing we can do to stop it right now." It was something that Ollie had had to learn himself over the years. By now he was numb to all this. All the hate. Quinn just needed to learn it himself.

Quinn shook his head. He didn’t want this answer. He wanted to be validated in his actions. He wanted the pain he felt to have some sort of satisfaction. But he wasn’t getting any.
He was getting the consequences instead. The ones he deserved.
The door to the principle's office opened and the other guy came out. He didn't look at the two of them, just silently left.
"All right boys, come on in." The principle, Mrs Rowe, said from the door way.
She was fairly young for a principle and subjectively pretty. Long blond hair, blue eyes, slightly curvy. Though there was still a sense of power behind her, and something else that felt like you didn't want to get on her bad side.

Quinn stood slowly, hugging himself as he followed the woman into her office. He glanced around nervously, hoping he could smooth things over quickly. His parents could actually kill him or ship him off to some military school if they got a call…
“Yes, Mrs. Rowe…” he murmured gently, glancing at Ollie for any kind of comfort.
Ollie didn't look at Quinn, just silently stood and walked into the office. It wasn't clear whether he was upset, angry, or just numb. He took a seat in front of Mrs Rows desk, the older woman shutting the door once Quinn was inside and taking her own seat.
"Right, Quinn, can you tell me what happened, from your perspective. Don't leave out any details."

Quinn swallowed hard. His whole body shook and when he opened his mouth to speak, his voice came out scratchy and trembling.
“He asked why I was hanging out with ‘the gay’ and I confronted him about it. I asked him if he had a problem with u- them… he did and I got mad because he was bad talking Ollie. So I punched him…”
She crossed her legs and her arms, leaning back in her hair, "And do you think that punching him would have stopped him bad mouthing Oliver? That it would shut him up? Or do you think it made the situation worse and instead of become physically, you should have told a teacher?"

“Telling a teacher does nothing. They don’t stop the comments…” he muttered, slouching in his seat. “I just… had to punch him, Miss. nothing else felt like it would get my message across.”
She leaned forward, frowning, "Quinn we don't not tolerate any kind of discrimination at this school. If there is any kind of homophobia I expect students to come directly to me so I can deal with it head on. And that usually means expulsion. Do you understand?"

He whimpered softly and nodded, avoiding her eye contact. “He said we were everything wrong in the world… I kissed Ollie to prove a point and I’m sorry I used him like that. But I stil love him very much and nothing changes my opinion.”
She nodded, “I’m not the one you should apologise to. But you can do that in your own time. I can gather that you two are a couple and kissing is a part of being together but, you should never force someone into something and you should never use someone to make a point,” She sighed, “I get what you did was in self defence, so I won’t suspend nor expel you. You’re only getting three detentions and a community service, Quinn,” She looked to Ollie, “Now I understand you didn’t do anything but I’d like you to join Quinn in his community service since he might need someone there for him.”
Ollie nodded a little, “Yes, Miss.” He whispered.
