"Not really… anything's fine I guess…" he said softly, a little tempted to ask the other to look for strawberries, as they had always been a kind of comfort fod for him.
Another random quest, (GAY) (O/O) CLOSED
"Are you sure? Seriously, I have a lot of money. It wouldn't be any sort of burden for me to get you anything," Oci said, raising his eyebrows at Marco.
Marco shook his head, not wanting to be a burden or anything, after all, he was still a street rat. Nothing more. Sure, he may have had a betterlife than that before, but all hope of getting any kind of life back was pretty much gone now, he was only staying because he wasn't emotionally conscious enough to make it on the streets right then.
"Alright, then." Oci resisted the urge to kiss Marco's forehead and instead turned towards the front of the house. "Do whatever you want in here. It's your house now, too." He flashed a smile over his shoulder and walked towards the door. It might be a bit trickier to get food than normal, but he was still one of the most powerful men in the city. In his territory, the city guards wouldn't dare touch him.
Marco nodded, watching him go quietly, when he had left he got up, starting his search for the shower.
Oci closed the door behind him and hurried down the road towards the nearest store. Most of the people in the streets ignored him, which was just fine. The less he was noticed, the better it was.
Marco eventually found the shower, stripping and slipping into it after it had heated up.
Oci managed to get through the shopping in record time, practically sprinting around the store. That definitely earned him some weird looks, but he simply flashed them an innocent smile and they looked away. The person checking him out didn't even look at him, just told him how much he owed in a monotone voice. Oci grabbed the bags full of food and started back to the house as fast as he could. There were two reasons for his haste: One, he really wanted to get some sleep in and the quicker he got this done, the quicker he could get into bed and two, he didn't want to leave Marco alone in that empty house for too long.
Marco had finished showing, and had borrowed a set of clean clothes, only keeping his hoodie on him, leaving his boots by the main door so he could find them as he sat back down on the couch, wondering when Oci would return.
Oci transferred all the bags into one hand and quickly unlocked the door. After stepping through the door, he slammed it behind him and hurried to the kitchen. "Hey, Marco. Wanna help me unpack?" He asked as he passed the couch Marco was sitting on. Once in the kitchen, Oci set down all of the bags on the counter and leaned against it, feeling very tired all of a sudden.
Marco smiled tiredly when the other came in, getting up and following him into the kitchen, picking up a bag and unpacking it. "You okay?" he asked.
"Ah, yeah. It's been a long day, as you probably know. I'm just tired." Oci gave him a smile and started unpacking another bag. "I might take a nap after this, just so I'm not totally dead later." He shrugged and tossed the empty bag onto the counter.
Marco nodded, working on his second bag of groceries. "Alright, I was lamost thinking the same thing, but I wanted to make sure you got home.
"You– Thanks. For worrying about me. If that's what you were doing." Oci said, his words tripping over themselves somewhat. He really must have been tired for that to happen. "Uh… I can take the couch, and you can take the bed. When you want to." He picked up another bag and started putting the stuff away. They were almost done, which meant that it was almost time for him to sleep. Even if it would be on the couch, it was still sleep.
"You can have the bed," said Marco quietly, "I was going to shift to sleep anyway, the couch is better than an alley or rooftop to begin with,so you don't need to make sacrifices for me."
"Are you sure?" Oci asked, looking over at him curiously. "I really don't mind. But if that's what you want, I won't push you." He tossed another empty bag onto the counter and started in on the last bag.
Marco nodded, turning to help him with the last bag, "Yeah… I need to keep some things normal… ish."
"I can understand that." Oci nodded, taking out the last item and placing it in the correct spot. "Well, I guess I'll see you when I wake up." He smiled at Marco, hesitating slightly before walking out of the kitchen, towards the bedroom.
Marco nodded, hugging himself for a moment, before shifting and moving to make himself comfortable on the couch.
Oci opened the door to the bedroom, not even bothering to close it before kicking off his boots and sitting down on the bed. He carefully took off his jacket, tossing it onto a chair before lying down on top of the blankets. He closed his eyes, falling asleep after only a few minutes.
(timeskip till morning?)
Marco curled up in a ball on the couch, still feeling numb from everything that had happened that day.
(Yeah. I'll do it?)
(Please Also I apologivefor repeatedly abandoning you for hours on end, exams are very very stress)
(Oh, no, you're totally fine! I can get the exam stress. :)
Oci woke up to sunlight streaming though the crack in the curtains covering the one window in the room. He rolled into his side, hissing slightly when his wound gave a twinge of pain. The cream Karia had put on it had helped a lot, but it would still be a few days before he was completely healed. After taking a deep breath, Oci pulled himself into a sitting position and tugged on his boots. Not finding enough motivation to get up just yet, he stayed sitting there for a few minutes.
(Thanks!)
Marco was lying on the couch in human form, having decided around midight that he could sleep no longer, and was thus staring at the ceiling thinking. Thinking about what? Many things. His family for starters. And then Oci. Oci…. such an enigma in his life. He simply didn't know what to make of his feelings for the other.
Oci finally decided that he couldn't spend the rest of the day sitting there, even though that's what he felt like doing. He stood, grabbing his jacket
and pulling it on as he walked out of the room. He had no idea if Marco was awake or not, so he tried to keep quiet as he walked to the kitchen for some breakfast.
Marco heard him come down the stairs, but didn't move from his spot, yawning quietly as he sifted through his thoughts concerning Oci. Do I like him? Maybe… Is he cute? kinda… Would I… No. No gutter thoughts….
Oci peeked into the living room, but it looked like Marco was still sleeping– in his human form, no less– so Oci turned his attention back to food. He'd gotten a bag of bread rolls and some turkey, so he made himself a little sandwich with butter and sat back on the counter. Yes, it was probably better to sit at the table, but… it was his house. He could sit on the counter if he wanted to. And… well, if he sat on the counter, he couldn't see Marco, so he couldn't stare at him like a creepy stalker.
Marco eventually sighed, pulling himself out of his thoughts, rolling off the couch and shifting into a shaggy husky, padding into the next room with a sleepy yawn.
"Good morning, Marco!" Oci said brightly, stuffing the last of his breakfast into his mouth. "How are you doing today?" He hopped off the counter and walked to get something to drink. He was feeling better after eating, but seeing Marco also seemed to help.
