Osiris started to wiggle around happily. "No one has ever said that to me!" His smile was something else. "Of course I want to show off! I want to show you my worth…uncle threatened me that if I tried, he'd beat me into the ground. He said, 'it wasn't a noble thing to do'." Osiris cocked his head. "But he shows off all the time—the lines get muddied. But whatever! I lost my nobility by staying with you."
Bane tried to shake his head. "No, Osiris is bad news. He hates me—he will try to murder me. Getting him to ditch my father doesn't change someone instantly. The desire still resides." Bane looked up at Lis and smiled. "I think I should get to kill him first. Then you can resurrect him and kill him." Bane laughed. "God, dad said a lot of bullshit. My cousin is right—he always and still muddies the line of what a noble should or shouldn't do." Taking a deep breath, he tried to relax. There wasn't a point to it since his muscles were already relaxed. "Lis—I can't move. Barely—I can barely move."
