(I swear I’m gonna answer this I’m just not inspired for this particular RP right now. Sorry!)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(it's fine! Take your time)

He smiled a little. "Henry's going to be here with food soon. I'm not tired." he put the laptop away. A minute later, there was a knock at the door. He opened it, and Henry stepped inside.

Anima watched, feeling a little envious. The creator had Henry, and perhaps in another, more platonic (or even familial, from a certain point of view) way the AI had Victor, but it still felt alone. It was the only thing like itself, and it was alone. It wasn’t fair, things weren’t supposed to be this way. Nobody should be lonely. But did it even count as a somebody? It looked away.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Victor smiled up at him, kissing Henry's cheek. Henry set a box of pizza on the table, wrapping his arms around Victor and tugging him close. "Congrats on winning, Vic." Henry murmured fondly. Victor smiled, pulling out of Henry's arms to grab some pizza. "Thanks, love."

The AI watched them for a few hours, right up until Henry left. Then it finally looked away, feeling so… conflicted. It was so confused, how could two humans feel so much? The AI felt like nothing at all. “Victor, how does one feel? Mine are broken, I’m feeling all the wrong things.” it said. Resentment, fear, loneliness, all the others, it didn’t know what to do with.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Victor blinked, looking down at Anima. "Oh. I…" His eyebrows pulled together. "I don't really know. Feeling is…it isn't something you make yourself do. It's just…it's part of you, it just happens."

“Part of me. So why do I… it sounds so silly when I think of it, but it must be so by your logic.” it said, and if it could have blushed it would have. “I feel… jealous.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He cocked his head a little bit. "Jealous…of what?" He asked, looking at Anima curiously.

“Ahem,” it artificially cleared its throat. “Of…. what you can do. What you can feel. Your humanity.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He blinked, studying Anima. "I… Hmm." He wasn't quite sure what to say in response to that. He really wasn't.

"It's just that you experience so much, more than I could understand. Oh, to have a human form, to understand the pain and suffering and joy you go through." Anima said.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He hummed thoughtfully. "I could make you a more humanoid body? I am unsure I could make you an actually human one, but a similar form, perhaps?"

"It wouldn't be the same, but perhaps… perhaps it would be worthwhile trying." it said. And then it decided. "Yes, I would like that, yes."

(Still tryna figure out how to make Shit Go Down)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(hnngg I knowwwww)

"Alright. It'll be difficult and take a while, but…I can try." Victor stretched a little bit, looking at Anima.

"Thank you, creator. Victor." it said softly. "I…. this is phenomenal." Anima couldn't comprehend the idea. So many possibilities, so much to learn and do. A whole new world at it's fingertips, metaphorically that is.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Victor nodded, pulling out his laptop and getting to work to try and figure out how to make a body. Of some sort.

The AI waited patiently, occasionally giving feedback and advice on Victor's designs. Over the next few weeks the project continued, it slowly became a way of bonding with the man, understanding humanity for what it meant. And the AI saw joy, and life, but also pain and death and suffering.

"Victor, why do humans hate so strongly?" it eventually asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Victor blinked, thinking of his father. "I…I don't know." he replied slowly, looking at Anima carefully. "I…" he shook his head a little bit. "Fear, maybe. Of the unknown, or…" he shrugged his shoulders.

"I understand not understanding." the AI said. It looked over the design for the body, and shuddered. So many mistakes, so little time. Or maybe it was just impatient. That would be a first.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded faintly, and went back to working at the plans for the body. "Yes. My…my father, for instance…" his mouth tightened. "He does not approve of my relationship with Henry. He has…cut me off from everything until I am "cured" of what he thinks is a problem. A…a mental illness."

"I have observed your behavior. Your mental state, while far from perfect, is not negatively affected by your relationship with Henry. Quite the opposite, really, your father should be proud you have found a suitable partner." it said, hoping to console the man.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Victor laughed faintly. "It's…that's not it. Men like…my father thinks that men should only love women, not other men at all. And so I…I'm gay, Anima, if you hadn't figured that out for yourself. And my father…he doesn't like that. You know what homophobia means, I expect? I'm sure you've found the word before, in all your research on humans."

"I… have. I understand that some humans have skewed views on things, but that should not stop you from loving who you love. I may not understand much in the way of love, but I do understand this. Your father's opinions are invalid and horribly misguided. While he may feel a sense of duty to you, you are your own person, and deserve your life." it said calmly, staticly.

(Me, internally: Why are these idiots being wholesome, I want drammmaaaaaa)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(lmaooo)

He blinked at Anima, mouth curving faintly in a wistful smile. "Yes, I…I know." he replied. "I just…I don't know. I wish he could accept that this is who I am."

(Honestly I could see Victor experimenting on Anima and accidentally going too far out of the desire to know, ya know?)

"I understand. Acceptance… it is something that, I'd believe, everyone would want at some point."

It stared off at nothing in particular. What did a person look like, really?

@ElderGod-Icefire

(ooh true)

He nodded a little bit. "Yeah. And don't get me wrong, the world has gotten a lot more accepting of LGBTQ people like me, but it's not…not perfect, not yet. But we've got marriage and adoption rights, and trans people can use whatever bathrooms they want, and…I don't know. There are still people who think we don't deserve rights and should just go back in the closets, but…we're Out and we're here to stay."

"Nothing will ever be perfect. We all have to keep fighting for it, though." Anima said sadly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded again. "That's true. But things are better than they were and that, anyways, is a good thing." he smiled faintly.

"It is a good thing." the AI agreed. It was still plugged into Victor's laptop, putting the finishing touches on the robotic form to make it whole, make it… them. Its artificial skin shimmered and shone in the model, the lustrous black hair and pale eyes it had chosen stood out like stars against the night.
