Nix nodded weakly again and rubbed at his teary eyes, hiccuping. "I-I just— need a m-minute…" He stammered.

"Okay, dear," Derlik said gently. He ran his fingers Nix's hair once, holding him close.
It took Nix another couple of minutes to calm down again, at which point he sighed and melted against Derlik.

Derlik watched Nix as he calmed down, humming faintly. He rubbed Nix's back, nuzzling his nose against Nix's head.
"I'm sorry…" Nix whispered again, adjusting his dress as he huddled close. "I… I kinda ruined it, didn't I?"

Derlik shook his head a bit.
"Not at all," He said. He reached up, gently wiping the make up that had smudged.
"S-Should we fix my makeup?" He asked weakly, looking down at the smudged makeup on his hands.

"Do you feel up to it?" Derlik asked softly. He sighed softly, holding Nix close.
"I think so… hopefully I won't start crying again at least?" Nix shrugged a bit and rested his head on Derlik's shoulder.

Derlik nodded slightly.
"I'll be sure not to do something to upset you again. Promise."
"Well, I'm real sensitive so you can't exactly promise that, but I appreciate the sentiment." Nix smiled and laughed weakly.

"I'll do my best, then." Derlik smiled softly, running his fingers through Nix's hair.
Nix leaned into the petting and wrapped his arms around Derlik's neck. "Thanks… can we go fix my makeup now?"

Derlik nodded. He wrapped his arms around Nix, sitting up with the blanket around him. Then, he stood, holding Nix to his chest as he headed back to the bedroom.
Nix yawned a bit and watched over his shoulder as Derlik carried him. "Do we have to take off this makeup first?"

Derlik thought a moment, examining the makeup.
"That might be for the best. Do you want me to do it again?" Derlik spoke softly, grabbing the same makeup as before.
"And we don't have to do your eyelashes again, if you don't want to."
"I want you to do it again… and the eyelashes too, but you gotta be gentle, okay?" Nix shifted around a bit in Derlik's arms.

"Okay." Derlik offered a small smile, bringing Nix to the bathroom and sitting him down. He pulled over the makeup wipes, gently taking off Nix's old makeup.

"Okay." Derlik offered a small smile, bringing Nix to the bathroom and sitting him down. He pulled over the makeup wipes, gently taking off Nix's old makeup.
Nix closed his eyes and kept still while Derlik cleaned him off, shivering at the cold feeling. "So we're doing all the same things?"

Derlik nodded.
"Yes, we are. Or would you like to do something different? The possibilities are near endless." Derlik smiled softly, sitting next to Nix on the counter.
"Uhm… whatever you think would look good is fine." Nix hummed thoughtfully as he looked at himself in the mirror.

Derlik nodded a bit, smiling.
"I see…" He thought a moment, then decided he'd still do something simple. He grabbed the brushes and the eyeshadow, humming faintly.
Nix closed his eyes and kept still for Derlik, purring weakly to himself while he waited for the other to do his makeup.

"You do look very pretty in this dress," he said gently.
