"Good!" Derlik smirked a bit, continuing to trek through the woods of the mountains. "And that's good indeed, because I want to make sure you're taken care of." The god smiled, completely unaffected by the cold even in his skimy outfits.
"Thanks, Derlik… should we head back soon?" Nix asked softly. "We wouldn't want the others to worry about us being gone so long, after all."

"Mm… Yes, if you want to, we can definitely head back." Derlik hummed softly, repositioning Nix in his arms.
"Shall we?"
Nix nodded a bit and huddled a bit closer for warmth. "Yeah, we should… uhm… shall…?" He awkwardly corrected himself, not sure whether he was saying the right thing.

Derlik chuckled softly, patting Nix's back.
"You were done the first time," the god assured. He turned, then, taking a couple of steps before the world began to warp back into the Underworld.
Nix was a bit dizzy by the time they made it back to the underworld, not much liking the traveling. "Mmmm… are we back…?"

"We are," Derlik assured. He still held Nix close, running a hand gently over the cat's head. "Are you doing okay?"
"Yeah, m'alright… just a bit woozy." Nix leaned into Derlik's hand and sighed softly.

Derlik sat down right where he was, setting Nix in his lap a moment.
"We'll wait till it's passed, then."
"I'll be okay… you can keep walking if you want." Nix huddled up in Derlik's lap and relaxed, seeming pretty content.

"Nah, I'm perfectly fine. I'd love to wait here a moment with you." Derlik started scratching Nix's head, smiling sweetly at him.
"Mm…" Nix purred softly, soon seeming much more relaxed and not quite as woozy. "We can head back whenever."

"Okay then," Derlik cooed. The god stood, Nix held securely to his chest with one arm and the other hand continuing to scratch the cat's head.
Nix had a lingering smile as Derlik carried him back, curling his tail around the god's arm. "Just lemme know when we're back…"

"Of course, dearie~" Derlik was glad with the smile on Nix's face. It wasn't long before they were returning to the house, gently kissing Nix's head to let him know.
Nix opened his eyes sleepily at the kiss and looked around. "Mm… are we back…?" He asked softly.

"We are." Derlik opened the door to the house, humming softly. Serna wasn't in the living room, but that was to be expected at this time of day.
Nix glanced around to see if there was anyone else downstairs, but the room was vacant. Considering the muffled conversation nearby, he figured Cas and Zachary were in their room.

Derlik smiled some when he saw they were alone.
"Shall we go tell someone we're back?"
"Yeah, probably. Unless you don't want to, I guess." Nix shrugged a bit. "We might not wanna bother them."

"Well, I figured we don't want them worrying about us being gone too long." Derlik hummed faintly, shifting Nix in his arms.
"True…" Nix considered for a few moments before simply yelling from Derlik's arms. "We're back now!"

Derlik laughed some when he heard Nix's call, smiling some.
"Well, now that they know, we can go snuggle on the couch."
"Mhmm!" Nix huddled closer to Derlik, seeming quite pleased with himself. "What're we gonna do now?"

Derlik hummed, running his fingers up and down Nix's back.
"Well, why don't we do some snuggling?"
"Sounds good to me!" Nix huddled closer, more than content to let Derlik hold onto him for the time being. "Where's Miss Serna?"

"My guess is she's in the lab," Derlik said. He moved to the couch, curling up with Nix in his lap.
"Hm… what does she do in the lab?" Nix asked curiously. "I forgot if she already said."

"Well, she takes care of souls there," Derlik said, after a moment of thinking out how to phrase this.
