Halm smiled, nodding.
"You're welcome," he said. He leaned his head on his free hand, smile never fully leaving his face as Cas ate. Despite the circumstances of how it came to be, Halm figured he and Cas would be good for each other.
Cas soon finished his food and lay back down on Halm's hand, humming softly to himself in content.

Halm took the plate away when Cas finished, returning it to normal and carrying both of their plates to the sink.
"So, would you rather sleep in your own room or just stay like this?" Halm asked, smiling a little. Cas was cute.
"Mm… don't care enough to move… and it's probably cold in my room…" He yawned again and latched back onto Halm's finger.

Halm chuckled a little.
"Okay then," he said. He made his way into his own room then, sitting down on the giant sized bed. He laid down carefully, making sure not to jostle Cas. He held his hand close, to keep the mortal warm.
"Good night," he saud, eyes finally closing for the night.

Cas was still asleep when Halm awoke in the morning. At some point during the night, he seemed to have crawled into Halm's shirt and tucked himself under the god's chin for extra warmth.

Halm, when he realized Cas wasn't in his hand, slowly tried to tell where he was. When he figured it where Cas was, he smiled a little. He cupped his hand around Cas to keep him from falling, sitting up in the bed. It was a lot warmer now, thankfully. Cas wouldn't have to stay small.
"Cas," he said softly.
"Mmmm…" Cas stirred a bit and whined softly, staying asleep and where he was. Even though it was warmer now, it was still colder than he'd prefer.

Halm chuckled a little, moving Cas away from his neck. Instead, he gently set Cas in his pocket. Making sure Cas was safe and comfortable, Halm stood up and moved to the kitchen to start making breakfast.
Cas curled up in Halm's pocket, humming softly to himself again. He seemed content and comfortable for the time being.

Halm smiled as he started cooking, the hash browns sizzling in the pan. He would occasionally check on Cas, smiling softly each time. This was nice.
"Cas," he finally said softly, "breakfast is ready. It's time to wake up."
Cas stirred again and opened his eyes. When he took in his surroundings and noticed that he was small and high up off the ground, he screamed, clinging tightly to the fabric of Halm's shirt.

Halm clenched his hand on the pan handle to keep himself from jumping at Cas's scream. His other hand came up to Cas.
"You're okay, Cas," he said quickly, trying to calm him down.
Cas buried himself in Halm's pocket, trembling slightly from the scare. He whined softly, covering his head with his hands.

"I'm sorry you got scared," he said softly. "But let's get you back to normal, okay?" Halm slipped his hand into the pocket, gently bringing Cas out.
Cas remained kneeling on Halm's hands, still covering his head with his hands. He glanced up at Halm warily.

"Close your eyes, okay? I don't want you getting dizzy." Halm lightly touched Cas's cheek, and in a moment Cas was back to his normal size. Even if the scale of the entire house made him look like a child.
Cas kept his eyes closed for several seconds before he had the courage to look up again. He glanced around and sighed. "… Still small."

"At least you're back to normal, right?" Halm said. He stood up, motioning towards the food.
"You feeling up to eating?"
Cas nodded a bit and headed over to the counter, sticking close to Halm. He still felt unsafe here and was relying on Halm's presence for protection.

Halm looked down at Cas as he got the food onto two plates for them.
"How are you doing?" He asked softly.
Cas shrugged and accepted a plate from Halm. "I'm still kinda in shock, I think… feels unreal and I'm not sure what to think about it."

Halm made his over to the table, offering a chair to Cas.
"That's reasonable," he noted. "Hopefully, though, we'll come to enjoy this new life for both of us."
Cas climbed onto the chair, which was a bit of a struggle considering it was Halm sized and not Cas sized. He managed to get up and knelt on the chair so he could actually see over the table.

Halm looked up at Cas.
"We'll have to change some things around here," he noted.
"Really, why do you think that?" Cas asked, clearly being sarcastic. He took a bite of his food, trying not to fall out of the chair.

Halm pursed his lips. He finished quickly, a fast eater, and stood up.
"I'll have to deal with it later. Right now, I need to go to work." He went to the sink to rinse his plate.
"Um… okay. What am I supposed to do here while you're gone?" Cas asked tentatively.

"Don't know," Halm said plainly. "You could come with me, or get situated in your room."
"Um… where are you going, exactly? I might get settled in first before joining you."
