((So like, if and when they fall in love, the colors disappear?))

Healing always drained Kesari, but the severity of this guy's injuries took a bit more out of her than she'd expected. She stood slowly, swaying a bit on her feet as she stumbled off into the kitchen, looking for Aquarius. She paused when she found him, leaning heavily against the doorway to watch him cook.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Yeah, pretty much.)

Aquarius heard a noise and glanced back, spotting… his soulmate? The healer? He didn't know what to call her. She looked tired and exhausted, and like she would fall over any minute. He sighed and moved over to her, propping her up and helping her to a chair.

It took Kesari's mind a moment to catch up with the rest of her, and by that time she was sitting. "Oh. Uh-thank you." She said, blinking a few times. "Sorry…I didn't realize just how badly he was hurt."

@PrettyLittlePyro

Aquarius smiled slightly, turning away before she saw it. "He's an idiot, like I said. Sorry about making you use up too much strength."

"Oh, it's fine." Kesari waved him off, shaking her head slowly. "I'm a healer, it happens. It's not the worst injury I've come across." She grew quiet for a moment, before blinking. "Oh. I suppose a name might be a good idea. Kesari. Most people call me Kes."

@PrettyLittlePyro

"O-oh, right." Aquarius rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, going back to check the food. "Aquarius. My name is Aquarius."
What was happening to him? Usually he wasn't this awkward…

Kesari's lips quirked into a small smile as she leaned back in the chair, tugging a hand through her hair. "Well, it's nice to formally meet you."

@PrettyLittlePyro

Aquarius, despite himself, laughed. "It is." His voice was musical and enchanting, courtesy of the siren blood in him.
He turned to her for a moment, scanning her up and down, and then stopped himself. There would be time for that later… maybe. "So," he said, a little embarrassed. "Do you like Asian food?"

"I-yes?" Kesari tilted her head in confusion, her cheeks reddening as she realized he'd been looking her over. It was a surprise he hadn't mentioned the bloodbending, considering that was usually viewed as a dark form of magic. "Why?"

@PrettyLittlePyro

"I made some," he said calmly. He tasted the food. "Almost done."

"I-I can leave, you know. Most people don't like me hanging around after I've done my job, with the whole…you know." She gestured to herself, and then the door.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Well, you need to gain strength so you can walk without falling over."

"I'm sure I can walk." She shook her head, making to stand. She was, apparently, mistaken, as as soon as she tried to stand, her legs almost gave out.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Aquarius caught her before she fell. "Careful," he said. "I don't want you getting hurt."

Kesari sighed, nodding slowly as she sat back down. "Why?" She looked up at him, furrowing her brows in confusion.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Aquarius looked at her for a long moment then sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'm… not good at feelings," he muttered.

"Good at-" Kesari's confusion was obvious, until she blinked, lifting her arm to look at the colors swirling across her skin. She'd successfully shoved that away, compartmentalizing in order to focus on other things, but now she needed to deal with it. "-oh."

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Not tha-" Aquarius groaned. "I messed up." He sighed, getting out a plate and dishing up some steaming noodles. He handed it to her and leaned against the wall.

"You're going to have to explain, then." Kesari said, blinking down at the food in front of her. "I'm…not too great with emotions, and people, either."

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Listen," Aquarius said. "I, uh… I care for you. I think you're cool, and we could be friends. Beyond that, I don't know."

Kesari looked up at him, tilting her head. "You think I'm cool?" She shook her head, trying again. "Being friends sounds nice…" She didn't say the 'but', but it was there in the way she trailed off, looking back down at the noodles.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Okay," he said with relief, not hearing her tone. He picked up his phone, dialed his sister's number, and waited.

You're not supposed to get attached, Kesari. You're leaving the city tonight. She sighed, carefully trying one of the noodles.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Tempest's worried voice answered immediately. "Is he okay?"

Kesari looked up at Aquarius, tilting her head as she listened. His brother would be fine, though a bit stiff for a few weeks.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"He's fine," Aquarius said. "Be sure to tell him that next time you'll throw him off the roof and leave him there."

Kesari snorted despite herself, eating another noodle slowly. Eating had always been a slight issue for her, after her time spent with the army.

@PrettyLittlePyro

He could almost hear Tempest rolling her eyes. "I will. See you tonight?"
"Yeah," Aquarius said.

Kesari managed a few more noodles, before standing. She was considerably less shaky now. "I-should probably take my leave…"

@PrettyLittlePyro

Aquarius hung up. He stared awkwardly at her for a moment, then shrugged. "Bye…"
