Andre felt awfully proud of himself. He had made pancakes and topped them with fresh strawberries. There was even a bit of chocolate sauce in a small saucer just in case Met wanted. It was definitely worth waking up a bit earlier to make the whole elaborate plating. Hearing a light shuffle from the other room, the adult thought quickly about adding a spiral of whipped cream on top. Sure, it was a bit much, but it would hopefully be worth it. He cracked his knuckles lightly when looking at the finished product. Andre took a few uncut strawberries and began nibbling on them while waiting for Met to enter the kitchen. Happy Valentine's day indeed.
(Thankkiiiieiieieieieiiesisisiissisiissssss how long are you on for?)
Met stood from his bed on a seemingly normal day for him. It was the fourteenth of February and Met thought nothing of it as he glanced at his clock and picked up a pair of glasses from the side table. A couple months ago (it had been over a year since he was adopted) Met went to a doctor's appointment to be told he had to got to an eye doctor, for his sight was terrible. They went a couple weeks later and Met was almost immediately given a prescription for a 10/40 vision. It was bad. He placed on his glasses and could see his room clearly again with a tiny smile. He was never ceased in amazement for how his glasses worked. He stood and picked up his clothes, which were laid out for him. He threw them on, shuffled to the bathroom to do his business, brush his teeth and hair, and finally went out to the dining room to be met with a giant feast.
"O-what's this?"
group
(No idea but hopefully on and off often seeing as I have the homework excuse)
(also it really isn't that big, it's just a plate of really fancy pancakes lmao)
(and I have a plan for Tirrell and Met's secret desire for a stuffed animal wink wink if you get what I mean)
Andre gave his son a large happy grin. "Happy Valentine's day," he said cheerily. He felt so good with the expression the taller male wore. The adult's shirt contrasted with his masculinity in a shade of lighter pink. His hair was also pulled up into a bun while he had been cooking. The adult fiddled with the tie he had used, letting his longer style of hair fall back down.
(Yiissssssssssssssssssss)
(Oofers all well. It's a feast to Met.)
(YAS after all that time you'd think Met would get himself one.)
Met glanced at Andre, blinking as if a bright light was just shone into his eyes. "All of this? For Valentine's Day?" He sat down slowly in his spot, looking up at the adult. He had never really celebrated this holiday.
group
The adult smiled warmly. "I consider it less of a couples holiday and just about those you love in general. So yes. All this," he replied, seeming satisfied with his wording. He took another strawberry and bit into it.
group
(honestly it's how i see it too seeing as i'll have notebook as my love for a long timeeeee lmao)
(Lmao saaame.)
Met swallowed nervously and picked up a fork, looking down at his empty plate to the s t a c k of pancakes in front of him.
"Um… I'm not expected to eat all of this, right?"
group
"No, don't worry about it. I probably did make a bit too much," the adult responded with a shy chuckle. Andre hadn't eaten anything yet, so whatever was left, he'd take from the stack.
Met blushed faintly as he took a pancake from the stack, having a hand ready for a brace in case it all collapsed into a pancake-y mess. He set it down and sniffed at the chocolate, picking it up.
"It-it looks great, Andre."
group
The adult frowned slightly, negative thoughts leaking into his mind. It had been a bit over a year since Met had been adopted and the boy had never called him dad. That wasn't the larger of the two issues however. He felt worried that with the small stutter, that Met wasn't the fan of something. Of course that was a slight win for knowing a preferences.
Letting the thoughts leave as quick as they came, Andre smiled again and came around the counter to hug his son before taking a seat as well.
Met blushed a bit more when he was hugged and returned it happily. He gently lathered the chocolate on to the pancake and looked around on the table. There was no honey or butter on there.. Of course, he never ever said that he preferred either one, so he had no reason to complain. Instead he ate them with chocolate and syrup.
group
The adult was about to ask what Met had been looking for, but let it slide when the other seemed content to begin eating. "Anything you want to drink?" the older of the two asked, having forgotten.
Met glanced up, blinking. "Oh. I don't care, whatever you'd like," Met said softly, smiling a little before going back to his pancake, eating it neatly and slowly. It was very tasty. He loved Andre's cooking.

(MAKING MY WAY DOWNTOWN-)
The adult turned on his heel towards the fridge and took out both the orange juice as well as the milk and set them on the table. "Take your pick," he said, already starting to serve himself a pancake.
(WALKING FAST-)
Met poked at the milk, slowly picking it up and pouring himself a small glass.
"Thank you. This is great," He complimented softly, smiling faintly at Andre.

(FACES PASS-)
Andre hummed in response, seeing as he had food in his mouth. After swallowing, the adult spoke. "I'm glad you think so." He was beaming with pride.
(AND I'M HOME BOUND DJSUDHDHDJGNUSHSJDHDIDN)
Met smiled shyly back and went back to his food, slowly and thoughtfully eating it. It definitely could've used some butter, but he still enjoyed it immensely.

(This is another reason I enjoy our rps lolll)
Trying not to chuckle at the thought in his mind, the adult came up with something silly to attempt to tease the teen across from him. "You've never really mentioned if you have a valentine at school or not, Met," Andre started with a soft smile as he cut his pancake into small pieces. "You are quite handsome," he added with a teasing wink.
(Loolllll same xD)
Met blushed deeper and looked down at his plate. "I-I… um… thank you." He messily cut his pancakes, a tiny smile unmistakable on his face. He wasn't sure if his tiny crush felt the same as he did.
group
"So… what's their name?" the adult asked with a small smirk. He was taking the expression Met wore that he obviously had a crush at least. It made him a bit giddy, even if the teen ended up not telling him.
Met wanted to cover his face. He wasn't sure if the other liked him back, but the weird feeling Met felt whenever he saw the boy…
"H-his name's Tirrell."
group
The adult smiled softly, wondering if he should make something for Met to give to the boy. He shook it away, not wanting his son to feel pressured. There was also Rei to be thinking of…
Returning to reality, Andre gave his response. "I'm sure he's lovely, Met."
Met smiled bashfully and went back to his pancakes. "He… he is. I like him a lot." I'm not sure if he likes me, though… What I'd do to be able to read minds…

(What I'd do to be able to read minds… *Can read minds canonically)
"If you want to invite him over sometime say for… a study session?" the adult began to hint. Andre's tongue was unable to hold itself. He felt overjoyed that Met had found a friend. Perhaps a friendship to go further even.

(Lmao I was literally thinking the same as I typed that.)
Met blushed furiously over his fork, hastily taking a sip of his drink to hide his face. He heard rumors of what happened when people got together for "study sessions" and guessed Andre was thinking about the same, too.
"I-I'd have to ask…"
