After the long weekend with Tirrell, Met was a whole mess when Andre returned home. He had to clean his whole room from the mess they had made, which honestly didn’t help much with the pleased shock he had in his system. It was so much better than he expected it to be. So much softer and gentler. There was this bond between him and his boyfriend now that he’d never be able to let go.

He had refused to tell Andre exactly what happened, for he was still processing it himself. All of the feelings he had felt, all of the things he had seen from Tirrell, he wanted to take to his grave. He barely ate dinner, but it was a good sort of loss of appetite, if that made sense. Met’s gaze was distant and gentle as he played with his asparagus that Sunday night.

(idk it’s short but it’s the best I can do lol)

(i can work with that lol)

Andre stared at Met, completely confused. Had something bad happened? The boy had hardly eaten anything and it was concerning. "You alright, Met?" the man questioned. He couldn't quite tell what the expression on the other's face was; disappointment or longing. After a whole year, Andre had never seen his adopted son like this. Even when upset, he usually ate enough eventually.

Met jolted awake, and a small, dozy smile graced his features. “Uh-huh… I’m ok.” He stabbed his fork into a bit of steak, moving it up to his lips, to totally miss his mark quite a few times. He finally made it in, though, chewing slowly as he lapsed into pleased thoughts of his new boyfriend. Well, lover, one might suppose, for they had been dating for some time.

Andre smiled lightly, realizing Met had been daydreaming. The grin gave everything away. "More than okay, I'm assuming," the adult commented with a light chuckle. The boy across from him practically had hearts in his eyes. It was adorable actually. "If he makes you happy, then perhaps Tirrell can come over. I wanna meet the man who makes you so overjoyed that you can't even eat straight. Or excuse me, I suppose you aren't straight."

Met flushed a little, rubbing the back of his head at his father’s words, his cheeks flushed deeply. “I-I… we… he was just over here, I don’t want to make him come again.” It was just an excuse, though, seeing how quickly Tirrell had come over on Friday, he would take any chances necessary to be with him. He just didn’t want to embarrass himself more than he already was.

"I'm not saying right now, Met. I mean whenever you want to invite him over. Let me know in advance though so I can prepare more for dinner," Andre said calmly. Internally, the adult was already thinking about the talk he would have with this other boy. The don't-mistreat-my-son-or-I'll-skin-you-alive talk to be specific.

"Oh, sure. I can ask him sometime this week if he wants to come over for dinner." Met smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head again as he finished up with his steak and asparagus.
"Thanks for cooking, er… dad." That was one of the first times Met had called his adopted father 'dad' and it was certainly a change he'd have to get used to. He stood from the table and moved into the kitchen to clean off his plate. Once he did that, he pulled out his phone and shot Tirrell a text.

Hi. I hope you got home ok. My dad wants to invite you over to dinner sometime.

Andre simply sat where he was, cheeks warming. He called me dad. He called me dad.
"Um, you're welcome, son," he replied, blinking a few times to be sure he was processing things correctly. After Met went into the other room for bed, it was likely he would go and celebrate like a little kid.

Feeling a light buzz from his pocket, Tirrell took his phone from his pocket. Met didn't know this, but he had added a little blue heart next to his contact name. Reading the message while seated on his bed, he grinned at the message on screen. Met was so sweet- wait what? He was already asked to meet the father already?! Wow, things were going faster than he thought.

Yeah, I did, don't you worry your pretty little head. As for the offer, that sounds fine.

Yeah, he definitely had to pick something nicer than what he normally wore to school for whenever this dinner thing was.

If Met knew what Tirrell had thought of his text, his slightly exasperated response would've been I think we already moved pretty quickly this past weekend, Tirrell, and we've been dating since February.

Since he didn't read minds over cellular devices, he smiled when he got a text back from the other. His contact name for the other was just 'Tirrell' but he wanted to change it to be something special. Maybe he'd add a red heart or something for garnish.

I'm allowed to worry, Tirrel, Met typed as he smiled down to his phone, and I'll ask him whenever he wants you over.

"Umm… Andre?" Met asked as he toweled off his dish and went slowly into the living room. "He wants to know what day is best for you. I can bring him home after school if you want it during the weekday."

Tirrell still had his phone out, waiting for a reply from Met. When he received one, he quickly typed back.
Not if I say sooo~ Okay, I'm kidding.

At the same time, the adult snapped out of his thoughts, grin shrinking a tad. This boy Met liked was not going to date his son much longer if he didn't see mutual respect. It was mostly him being protective, but Andre knew he couldn't let someone take advantage of his son. Then again, if Met was already this happy, this Tirrell was probably not some sort of delinquent.

"Ask him if Friday works," the adult replied, now standing to wash his own dishes.

Met giggled at the answer, and just sent a blushing emoji instead of an actual answer. Met nodded and went to text him straight after:

He wants to know if Friday works. If it goes well maybe u can stay the whole weekend with me again?

Met pocketed his phone again and slowly moved to help with the dishes, drying them off. He put them away as well once he was done, humming quietly to himself. Met rarely hummed, for he was afraid it’d be too loud, but apparently that mindset had disappeared along with something else he had lost over the weekend. Well… he had lost it years ago, really, but it felt like the first time.
