Rowan nodded shakily, drinking a bit more of his water to try to calm himself down. "Sorry, sorry… I-I'm overreacting again, aren't I?"

"Yeah, man. Kinda." Damien wrote down the last few answers. "It's fine, but it's really not like you don't have people to help you out."
Rowan sighed, taking another sip of his water. "I know, I know… I'm just really stressed. I know you guys are willing to help me."
He shut his book, putting it away. "Figured. You're fine. Don't worry about it."
Rowan nodded a bit. "I wish I could just sleep for an hour or two when we get home, but I've got so much work to do that I don't have time…"
"I get it, I get it." Damien shrugged. "I can try to do some of it if you want?" He offered. Damien wasn't great at forgery, but it was.. passable.
"If you want to, that'd be great… I can always just copy your answers, though." Rowan sighed, drumming his fingers on the table.
"Yeah. When we get home I'll start pullin' work out." Damien leaned on his hand, looking at the clock on his phone. "That sound okay?"
"Mhmm… still gotta last through the rest of the day first." Rowan looked over to Damien. "Thank you… really."
"It's nothing, dude. Don't sweat it." He shook his head. "The only thing where I wouldn't trust me work is math, but I think some of my work is corrected."
Rowan nodded a bit. "Alright… that's fine. Thank you." Rowan sighed. "I think lunch is almost over…"
"Yeah. We got like, five minutes. I'm gonna go put my tray up. You need me to take yours?" Damien stood up, grabbing his lunch tray.
"Uh… sure, thanks." Rowan handed his tray to Rowan and finished the bottle of water he was drinking.
Damien walked off to put the trays up, gathering his stuff up before sitting back down. He was honestly ready for the bell to ring, just so the day would end already.
"M'so tired, Damien…" Rowan sighed, laying his head on Damien's shoulder when he sat back down. "I wanna sleeeeep…"
"Damn, man, I dunno." Damien ruffled Rowan's hair. "I guess you don't really have to time to sleep in class.. Damn. You can sleep in the car, I guess? "
"Mmmmm…" Rowan relaxed a bit when Damien ruffled his hair. "Maybe I'm not even tired. Maybe I'm just emotionally drained. I don't fucking know."
"It's probably both. If I had to guess." Damien shrugged. "Feel like it's been a long ass day."
"Yeah…" Rowan sighed, closing his eyes. "I can't wait for it to end, honestly…"
Damien ran his fingers through his hair. "Agreed. Just need to get the fuck home, man."
"Mhmm…" Rowan sighed. "I think the bell's about to ring, Damien. We can't stick around too long."
"Yeah, yeah." Damien stood up, gathering his books together in preparation to leave. "I know. I'm just tryna forget about the fact that we have… three more hours of this bullshit before we can go home."
"Yeah…" Rowan sat up and stretched before hoisting himself up onto his crutches. The bell rang and he left the room with Damien.
Damien left the cafeteria, trying to readjust his books so that they wouldn't tumble out of his arms like they were threatening to do. "God.. I really don't wanna go to fucking theatre, man.." He groaned.
"You could skip, in theory. I've gotta go to… uh… English. Yeah. I probably shouldn't skip anything yet since I've still got a fuck ton of work."
"Yeah, I could.." Damien nodded. "Might hide out in the bathroom. But damn, man, that sucks. At least that teacher's understanding."
"Yeah…" Rowan sighed softly. "Thank God no one's really asked me about me being gone yet. I can't count on that staying the case, though."
"It's none of their fucking business, man." Damien glanced over. "You don't have to answer or tell them the truth or anything."
"I know, I know, I just… I'm nervous. I don't know what I'd say if they ask, you know?" Rowan sighed again.
"You just have to tell them to fuck off." Damien responded fairly bluntly. "Again, Ro, like- if someone asks you shit like that, you don't have to answer them."
