"Can you help me up, Damien?" Rowan asked, struggling to reach his crutches. Even with them, he knew he wouldn't be able to get up from the ground. Milo watched him nervously from where he lay.

Damien blinked at the request, snapped out of his little world. “Oh- yeah, I can, one second.” He stepped around Milo, crouching down to help pick Rowan up.
Rowan tried to help Damien out by utilizing his good leg, which did some. He leaned against the wall while Damien retrieved his crutches and thanked him quietly when they were returned to him.
“No problem. Do you think you can walk..?” Damien glanced at Rowan, and then Milo, and the. back at Rowan. He clasped his hands behind his neck.
"I'll sure fuckin' try." Rowan started heading over to the living room. Milo tailed him closely, but was careful to not be in the way.
“..That works.” Damien followed after Rowan, hands still interlaced behind his head. He watched Rowan’s steps carefully, genuinely worried that he would fall again and hurt himself further.
Rowan managed to make it to the couch without collapsing and sat down with a relieved sigh. Milo hopped up to sit beside him, still seeming worried about Rowan's wellbeing.
Damien sat down as well, beginning to pet Milo. “Do you still wanna watch somethin’, or are we past that by now? I’m good with either thing, I’m just curious.”
"Yeah, I'm fine to watch something…" Rowan grabbed the remote and turned the TV on. "Got anything in mind?"
“Not really. You know I’ll watch pretty much anything.” Damien shrugged, ruffling up his hair.
Rowan sighed and eventually just put on the Bee Movie. "If you don't decide, we're gonna watch this fuckin' thing. Ya like jazz?"
“Fuck it, may as well.” Damien laughed, turning to the TV screen. “Gonna watch a lady try and fuck a bee.”
"Mhmm. You can make popcorn if you want. I think we have some. I'd make it myself, but I'm crippled." Rowan curled up a bit and lay his head on Milo.
“Uhh- yeah, sure, I’ll get some going.” Damien got up, making his way into the kitchen to fish for a bag of popcorn.
"Can you grab me some Advil too?" Rowan called from the couch, rubbing Milo's ears gently while he watched the opening scene of the movie.
“Sure thing, boss. That’s in that one cabinet, right?” Damien fished around for a moment, finally pulling out a bottle of Advil. “Found it! Uh- popcorn’s about ready, lemme get a bowl real fast.”
"Okay, cool… Thanks, Damien." Rowan kept playing with Milo's floppy ears, humming softly to himself. Milo, as expected from the precious angel, was very patient with him and tolerated it.
“It’s nothin’, dude.” Damien tipped the popcorn into the bowl, throwing away the trash and bringing the bowl (and the Advil) back to Rowan. “Here ya are- do you want water for that?” He pointed to the medicine.
"Uh… Yeah, I usually choke if I try to dry swallow, and as kinky as that is, my day's been shit enough as is." Rowan accepted the bottle and shook a couple pills out of it.
“Kinda hot.” Damien teased lightly, going back to the kitchen to grab water for Rowan. He came back, handing the cup to the other boy. “Don’t choke, that’d fuckin’ suck.”
"I'll try my best." Rowan tried to swallow the pills quickly and did actually end up choking on a bit of the water. "Fuuuuck!" He winced after his coughing fit was over. "Why am I cursed?!"
“Dude, and right after I specifically told you not to choke! C’mon, man!” Damien reached over to pat his shoulder reassuringly. “Damn, bro. Shit’s rough.”
"And I told you I'd try my best. I guess my best isn't fuckin' good enough…" Rowan sighed softly and leaned against Damien. "I'm just so fuckin' sick and tired of today…"
“Woah- I was just messing, Ro, I’m sorry..” Damien put an arm around Rowan, playing with his hair a little. “I get it, man. You’ve been through a whole fuckin’ lot.”
"No, I'm sorry…" Rowan sighed again, seeming to relax a bit when Damien started petting him. "I'm just being a wuss, and a dick… you aren't doing anything wrong."
“You’re all good, don’t worry ‘bout it.” Damien continued to pet Rowan’s hair, his attention slowly drifting back to the movie.
Rowan eventually just closed his eyes and allowed himself to melt into Damien's touch. I really shouldn't enjoy this so much… After a few more minutes, he drifted off to sleep, far too exhausted from this day to stay awake any longer.
Damien felt a little conflicted about the entire situation, really. Not only because he was watchjng The Bee Movie and unironically enjoying it, but the fact that something about having Rowan asleep in his arms for the second time in two days just felt.. right, in a sense.
Rowan mumbled something in his sleep and winced a bit before huddling closer to Damien. Milo watched him worriedly, never ceasing his quiet, nervous whines.
He felt the change, looking over at the other boy with slight worry. Damien went back to fluffing up his hair and smoothing it out, looking back at Rowan every minute or two to check on him.
