“I don’t know either but there’s also a chance she could become aggressive if you don’t do anything.” Emile said. He could understand that, she’d be frustrated that Simon could move on with his life and she couldn’t.

"That's also true. God, this is all my fault…" He was the only reason he was in an impossible situation. Astral was his stupid, horrible way of treating humans.
“But now we’re trying to fix it, right? Nothing like this is gonna happen again.” Emile reassured Astral quickly.

"Right…" Astral looked over to the room once, at all the trinkets there.
"And what of these?" His voice was soft. How could he help so many people..?
“For now….for now you just have to let them be. We’ll have to figure that out further later down the line.” He said, knowing it was probably overwhelming now for the god.

Astral nodded slowly. It was… there were just so many. Every time he looked away so he didn't have to see them any more there was always another there…
“One step at a time, okay? If you try and handle all of it at once it’ll overwhelm you. You have to take it slow, remember?” Emile reminded him gently.

"Right… Slow." Astral just looked down at his lap finally. "I'll take it slow." Focus on Simon and Mia.
((Yeah I didn’t think so XD. He’ll wait until he thinks it’s likely that Astral actually will. But I mean he is gonna check up on them and stuff even if Astral lets him go))
He nodded. “Good.” He had to make sure he could guarantee Simon’s safety. He’d be closely monitoring the entire process.

If Astral had kept thinking so much about all the people he needed to help, he might have given up there and then.

"Ah…" Astral closed his eyes a moment. It was so… strange. He really was used to thinking he was always right in the end.
He knew this was probably a lot for Astral to process, so he was trying to be patient and understanding.

Astral raised his hand to his eyes for a moment.
"Is it really worth it?" He asked, voice small. He still couldn't help but voice the worried little voice in the back of his mind.
“Yes. Absolutely. If you do this then Simon will be happier, and he’ll live for a hell of a lot longer. And if you fix your relationship with him and maybe with Mia too, that’ll only make your relationship with your kid better too.” He said, quick to reassure the god.

Astral nodded slowly as he listened to Emile's words. He really needed them, to know he wasn't crazy for thinking he should do this. If worst came to worst, he really could fall back on doing this for the child.
Emile was glad that the words seemed to help. He needed Astral to follow through on this plan.

Astral looked over, a weak chuckle coming out of his mouth.

“Just a little bit.” He replied, smiling softly. He didn’t want to accidentally offend Astral after all.

"It doesn't come as a shock to me. I'm not sure when the last time I said 'thank you' for real was." Astral let out a breath. He'd said it before, but it was always mocking. Thank you for letting me use your body. Thank you for being such a good toy.

Emile nodded. “It’s an environmental thing I think. Most immortals I’ve met are terrible at apologizing or saying thanks.”

"Yeah, I must agree. I know some, but… They're few and far between." Astral shook his head, not looking at any trinkets again. He'd be able to tell Emile exactly which ones he had 'thanked' before.
