"You want to know what you did? You broke me, Noah! You left me when I needed you most! Poor, little, insignificant Trinity Bell. I never wanted anyone but you, Noah Cotgrove. The boy I loved. And for a while I thought you were the same. But them you left me. You broke me. I ache every day. You wanna know why? Because I still love you! And I hate myself for it! Because I can't stop loving you!" There were tears streaming down her cheeks, and it was as if Trini had let out everything she'd been feeling for the last 2 years.

The smile was long gone from his face, his expression pained. "I know. I know I broke you, I broke us, and all in one argument." He whispered, meeting her eyes. "It was the single worst decision I've ever made, and I'm still paying for it. I'm so sorry, Trinity."

"I needed you, and you weren't there. For years you were there because we both wanted you to be there. But the moment I really needed you, you. Weren't. There."

"You're right! I don't know what else you want me to say, because you were right. But I couldn't be there for you." Noah said, sounding tired. "I couldn't be there for you."

"Why not?! What else was more important than both my parents getting cancer and dying because it hadn't been found quick enough?!"

"I wasn't capable of comforting you, dammit. I would have made things worse, and that was the last thing you needed."

"The only thing I needed was you. I didn't want anyone else. Even if you did nothing but hold me while I cries, I wanted you."

Noah reached out a hand as though to touch her, stopping halfway and letting it drop back to his side. He blinked as tears slid down his cheeks. "I can't change what I did, I can't go back in time now that I know that. I just have to live with what I've done to you." He turned away, unable to look at her crying.

Trini watched him turn. "I kept it," She said.

"You…kept it?"

"Of course I kept it. It was a promise to you. A promise I don't intend to break anytime soon."

He turned around, searching her face for any sign of a lie. "Why? After everything I did?"

"Because I still love you, Noah," Trini said. "I can't stop loving you. And believe me. I've tried."

"God, Trini-is there any way we can try again?" Noah stepped closer, looking down at her. "Every single day, I see you every where I look in this town, and every single day, it reminds me of how much I need you." He knew she could turn him down, and he was okay with that, but he had to try.

Trini looked up at him, her hands tangled in his hoodie straps. She suddenly grabbed the fabric of his hoodie and pulled him down to her, lips crashing together as she went on her toes.

His hands went to her waist reflexively, pulling her closer to him as he sighed in relief.

Trini's hands snaked their way from where they were to around Noah's neck."

Noah puled back to take a breath, gazing fondly at her. "I missed you."

Trini stared into his eyes. Her ring came into sight as she held it up. "Wanna…you know…"

His grin was lopsided as he got down on one knee, holding out his hand for the ring.

Trini smiled back as she slipped the ring off its chain, placing it in Noah's hand.
