"Well, I could tell you are quite upset about something, also you seem really drink and I don't want you to get hit by a car walking home." She replied know full well this girl was a stranger, and her friendliness could get her killed one day.

Jess blinked. "Okay . . . thanks." She smiled a small smile and stepped in the apartment. "What's your name, by the way?"

(May I stalk?)

(Totally!)

"Oh, it's Crystal. Call me crys though." She replied and allowed her inside "what is your name may I ask?"

"Jess." She followed Crys as they walked into the small apartment. "Just Jess. I don't do Jessie or Jessica. Just Jess. I appreciate you not wanting me to get hit by a car," she added quietly.

"You're welcome. So do you need to drown any sorrows in junk food?" She asked with a laugh and started walking to the living room.

Crys's small laugh sounded like sunshine and Jess allowed herself to get momentarily lost in it. "Oh I've got plenty of sorrows," she said with a sigh.

"Well sit down." Crys said and sat on the couch and showed off the large display of junk food sat on the table in front of the couch.

Jess raised her eyebrows, impressed. “Wow. You got quite the food here.” She giggled as she sat down. “Sorry. I’m kinda sorta wasted.”

"It's fine. And you could take some of the food." Crys replied with a warm smile. She made her outlook seen calm and collected. Though inside she had no idea of what she was doing at this point.

Jess reached down and grabbed a chip. She probably wouldn't have done that normally, but she didn't exactly have her wits about her at the moment. "Thanks." She felt pretty close to retreating into herself and not thinking about what had happened earlier. She knew this wasn't healthy, but she didn't care. But then again, Crys said she could vent if she needed to. Jess took a deep breath. "So . . . did you really mean it when you said I could vent?" she asked quietly.

group

"Yes of course I meant it when I said you could vent." Crys said and smiled at Jess then grabbed some chips and ate them. She didn't really mind this girl venting, after all she did run all the way here.

Jess took in a big breath and blew it out. "I recently got back together with my ex. We were together in high school, and she was awful and I finally broke it off senior year but . . . she transferred here this year, and she came to me begging me to take her back, saying she had changed, and shit." Jess turned to Crys very seriously. "Crys. Never trust an ex when they say they've changed. Trust me on this one." Oh shit. Now she was looking into her eyes. That's why Jess had been looking at the food. This girl was hot. She stared into her green, green eyes, transfixed.

Crys nodded, she wasn't noticing Jess's stare at her. Maybe because she was staring back every once in awhile she made full eye contact as she spoke. "Sounds rough. And probably not great to get back to her." Crys replied nodding more. She wasn't exactly what else to do.

"Yeah . . . " Jess murmured. She blinked and returned to the present conversation. "Yeah it wasn't, because she begged me to go to a party tonight, got me wasted on purpose, and then I caught her hooking up with a girl in another room. Like I wouldn't find out." Jess twisted the bottom of her shirt viciously. "She's too loud to not get caught, let's put it that way."

Crys nodded. "Maybe you could try to avoid her for awhile. I don't really know. But it sounds like you had an awful experience tonight." Crys said then looked down at the food on the table so she didn't look at the quiet pretty girl.

Jess nodded. "Yup. And then she had the audacity to try to get me to come back." She didn't notice the tears in her eyes until they were rolling down her face. Even then, she barely noticed them. "She probably would have come after me, but I'm way too fast and she knows it."

Crys nodded and turned around to grab the box of tissues she had on the table behind her. She handed her a tissue and remained quiet so she could talk.

"Micheal is the one who told me to break up with her. I didn't even tell him that we got back together. We were only together like a week anyway. I guess we've broken up again. God, I really hope she gets that and I don't have to explicitly say anything." Jess was slurring her words a little. She looked down at the tissue Crys had handed to her. "Thank you but what's that for?"

"You started crying… Um how about you get some sleep, you could stay here on the couch if you want." Crys said and stood up looking at her still.

group
@Moxie group

"Oh." Jess reached up and touched her face. "I did." She looked up. "No. No, it's fine, I should probably go. You've been way too nice already, but I don't want to bother you." She stood up and zipped up the jacket she had been wearing.

group

"No. You seem kinda drunk and I don't want to be responsible for you getting killed, injured, kidnapped, or all three." She said and smiled.

group

Jess grinned. "I am way more than kinda. And thank you. That's really nice of you, I really appreciate it."

"You're welcome. Sleep well." Crys said then walked away and went to her room. She shut the door then laid on her bed and thought about how weird this whole thing was.

Jess slipped her shoes off and laid down on the couch, putting one of the pillows under her head. She pulled her jacket around her and was asleep within minutes, too tired and drunk to care that she was in a stranger's house.

Crys woke up in the morning and got dressed for the day before leaving her room. She went to the kitchen and made some coffee then sat down at the counter drinking it.

Jess woke up to the smell of coffee. She was on a couch in an apartment she didn't recognize. Well, she recognized it, but the furniture was different. Where was she? What had happened last night? She had been really drunk last night if her headache was any indication. She sat up slowly and saw a girl drinking coffee who she vaguely recognized. "Uh hey."

group
@Knight-Shives group

"Morning. There is more coffee if you want some." Crys replied not thinking about how the alcohol the girl consumed could have affected her memory and make it so she was unsure of where she was.

group
@Moxie group

"Thanks . . . " Jess stood slowly and went over to the coffee. The girl obviously recognized her. "So, I'm sorry about this, and it'll come back to me soon, I promise, but I don't really remember last night." Her face turned pink. "Did we uh . . . y'know, . . . " she trailed off, hoping the other girl would figure out what she was alluding to.

Crys blushed and laughed. "No we didn't. Sorry to disappoint. You just vented about your ex while being completely drunk then I told you that you were too drunk to leave and made you stay for your on well being." Crys replied and smiled at her.
