Hazel let one of the stale tasting candies sit in her mouth. It wasn't the taste that bothered her, it was how obviously old they were. Her mom had gotten her a box though, and she felt bad if she didn't eat them. The girl gave a dark chuckle when reading one with the words "Love u" written on it. She still had a bit of pessimistic humor sadly.

She continued typing away as her mind gave her the words. Hitting a block, Hazel leaned her right cheek into her palm, elbow accidentally knocking over the small box. Her eyes widened a tad when she realized nearly all of the candies were a mellow green. All except for one. It was a pale orange. On it wasn't some silly quote.
