Wren brushed her hair aside and took her notes, doodling in the margins absently as she often did. She sat near the back, of course, not drawing attention to herself in any way, shape, or form.
"Hey, sorry I'm late miss," Seb said as he walked into the class. 20 minutes late.
"Mr Walters. You are 20 minutes late," Miss Piper said. "Next time will be a detention." Seb smiled as he walked to the back of the classroom, canine teeth showing. He tossed his bag onto the desk and sat down.
"Sorry. Won't happen again." He leaned over to Wren. "Hey, Wren. What'd I miss."
"Notes," she mumbled in reply, continuing to doodle in the margins of her paper. It was an intricate, blossoming flower.
"That doesn't look like notes to me," He smirked. "It's beautiful though. Like you."
"Sure," she retorted in a mumble, moving her pen back over to the note taking.
"I mean it," Seb repeated, winking. "I don't just tell any girl she's beautiful."
She finally looked up at him with a clearly unimpressed look on her face. "Yes you do. All the time." She looked back at her paper and taking notes.
"True, but I never mean it," He grinned. "And I mean it for you." He stole the piece of paper and looked at the flower closely.
