"So… You're poor or something?" He said, sitting on his bed. Go figure…. What do you think?
Miles kept his shoes on and lied in his bed. "I mean, what do you do besides try to take stuff from people?"
Cloak and Dagger (O/O)
She nodded "I'm homeless, if that's what you mean and I don't do much besides borrow money without asking when I need food." Emmeline sat on the other bed and kicked her feet absentmindedly "My mother and father wanted a boy when I was born, so they gave me to my aunt and uncle. I lived there for a few years before my uncle got fed up with me and threw me out.."
"Hm that's gotta stink. My parents threw me out once they found out I was a werewolf," Miles said openly without shame. "I may have been violent, but I can control it now that I'm older."
"It was fun for the first few days..but then it went downhill from there." She replied, laying back on the bed and putting her hands behind her head.
(I'm surprised she's not surprised that he's a wolf boi)
"I can imagine…." Miles sighed, laying on his side. "There was this guy that decided to take care of me and teach me how to live off other people. He died from some medical condition, and so…. Here I am."
(Eh, Emmeline is one of my characters that could just care less, she's be like 'oh, you are an unstable vampire that currently wants to kill me? Cool' :3 though she can be very scared or nervous around certain peeps)
"That would've been nice," Emmeline said, focusing on the roof of the cabin. "Oh," She rolled onto her side and looked at Miles "I don't think I ever learned your name, I'm Emmeline but you can call me Em or Emma or something like that."
(Lol okey then)
"I'm Miles. No one really knows me all that well, so call me what you want." Although those annoying shmoopy nicknames can go straight to Oblivion… "I suppose it's nice to meet you…" Even if that first impression was really rickety… He glanced around and stuff before taking a glance out the window. "Well, I'm going to bed. See you in the morning."
"Well, goodnight Miles," She said, rolling back onto her back to stare at the ceiling for a while.
(First thing – time skip? And second – what kind of name do you want for this?)
(Sure, and I don't really know, something cool sounding :3)
(Huaucb okey I'll come up with something later)
Miles woke up very early the next morning, quite refreshed. I haven't had a good sleep like that in weeks… He got out of bed and headed out without a sound. I think I'll get something to eat…. He wandered to a nearby farm of chickens and clambered over the fence. He got some eggs and headed back without damaging them or dropping them. He arrived back at the cabin and set them in the kitchen in the basket before starting a fire in the stove. I've never cooked for more than myself before….
Emmeline was still fast asleep, her hair a mess from tossing and turning. She snored quietly and rolled onto her side, it had been a long time since she had slept in a bed and she was going to sleep as much as she could before she had to go.
Miles continued cooking up some stuff for himself. I bet that girl hasn't slept in days…. I'll wait before I make anything for her…. His stomach growled lightly, and he gave himself a shake of his head. Now's not the time to make noise…..
She yawned quietly and rubbed her eyes, squinting as she sat up. "Mornin'," She mumbled, closing her eyes and stretching.
"Morning –" He glanced at her and almost laughed. "It looks like your hair could use a brush…" At least my hair doesn't get like that… Miles continued to cook up the eggs in a pan on the stove.
She shrugged sleepily "Maybe," She yawned again as she walked over to him, watching him cook. A chunk of hair fell in her face and she sighed, brushing out of the way "I'm really thinking about just cutting it shorter.." She muttered.
"That doesn't sound half bad either. Probably would be best if you don't want it getting in the way of everything…." Miles finished up and put the food on two separate plates, handing one to her. "Bon appetite," He said mildly, digging in himself.
Emmeline took the plate, nodding at him "Thanks," She started eating and smiled, realizing how long it had been since she had a meal this good.
Miles was finished within a minute and put the plate in a bucket of water to be washed. "Just set your plate in there when you're done." He stood up and headed to his wardrobe, pulling out a clean shirt. I've been in this one too long…. He took his cloak off and his undershirt off to change.
She didn't respond, still shoveling food into her mouth. The plate was empty after a few minutes and she put it in the bucket before turning around and glancing at Miles, "Oh, I'm sorry," She said looking away when she realized that he was changing.
"Huh – Oh…. Yeah… Whatever. Don't worry about it too much," Miles pulled a shirt out and pulled it down on himself. "This house isn't really big enough for even two people." He rolled onto his bed. Hm… What to do today…. I already have enough food and plenty of lockets and rings…
"It just, kinda surprised me," She said, shrugging and looking at the ground. Her hair was still a mess and she did her bes to finger comb it as she sat back on her bed.
He glared at her from across the room on his bed and sat up. "Do you really want it cutted? I can – carefully – use my dagger to cut it if you want…." It would probably be best anyways…. But that's her choice. Miles stood up and put the old shirt back in the wardrobe, putting his red cloak back over his shoulders.
She nodded vigorously "Yes, please, I mean it can't really get any shorter but i want it to be as short as possible without making me look like a boy," She stood up and tugged a strand on hair into her face, scowling happily at it "Ha, you are going away and I will never have to worry about combing you again."
He chuckled at her playful behavior. "Alright then…." Miles snatched his dagger and got on her bed. "Now turn around…"
A small smile appeared on her face and she turned around, standing in front of him. "Do your best," She said, fiddling with the hem of the robes she was wearing.
"Well, actually…." Miles said, shifting. "Maybe we should do this where clean up is easy." I'm not nitpicky, but this is the only living space I have… "It would probably be better if we went outside."
"Yeah, probably," she said, shrugging slightly as she walked outside. She stood around and rocked on her feet as she waited for Miles to tell her if she should sit or stand.
Miles got on outside with Emmiline. He withdrew his dagger and had her stand up — it was a good enough height since he was so much more taller than she was. “Alright….” He put the dagger between his teeth and took all her hair back, as much as he could into his hands. “So how much do you want off?” He asked through his teeth. I don’t want to get dissed for something she never told me… maybe…
(Basically she wants a pixi cut)
"As much as you want, just don't make me look like a boy." She said "You can cut is as short as you want on the sides but leave it a little longer on the top," She nodded and smiled, happy to not have to deal with her hair any more.
