"You seem to like everyone here. Is there anyone you don't like?"

group

"There are some that I do not enjoy spending much time with, but there are none I truly don't like." Four chuckled some.

@cryptic-glitch

"Well then. Who's your least favorite?"

group

"Three," Four said with confidence.

@cryptic-glitch

"Really? He's my least favorite so far as well. Very. . . assertive."

group

"Yes, he is," Four agreed. "He doesn't seem to understand how… overpowering his personality can be."

@cryptic-glitch

"He will learn. I think. It's sort of endearing. Mostly obnoxious. But a little bit nice."

group

Four chuckled slightly.
"Well, perhaps he will, perhaps he won't."

@cryptic-glitch

"He will. I'm confident he will." She turned her attention to her coding for a moment then returned to Four. "Do you like cats? I mean, I know you don't have a pet, but do you like them?"

group

"Cats are nice," Four said after some time of thinking. A look flashed across his face as Orion did something to the code, but nothing was said and it disappeared without a glitch.

@cryptic-glitch

"Hmmm." She deleted her work and then did it again, hoping to catch a glimpse of the anomaly again.

group

Four made another face, like he had just sucked on a lemon. Then, it was gone. It seemed unlike the others, Four was faster at correcting himself than the code meant to do so.

@cryptic-glitch

"Alright. Interesting. I bet it's because you're the butler. You probably know more than most of them. Who runs this place again? Two?"

group

"Twelve." Four couldn't help it.

@cryptic-glitch

"Right. He probably knows the most. Okay." She put another semicolon at the end of a different line.

group

Four froze for a moment, then looked around.
"What are you doing?" he demanded. No glitch.

@cryptic-glitch

"Messing with you. Why?" She shifted in her seat.

group

"Stop it. It feels… strange." Four shook his head in disgust.

@cryptic-glitch

"Alright, alright." She leaned back. "How many rooms are in the hotel?'

group

"Thirty-seven." Four seemed to calm down then, when Orion stopped messing with the code.

@cryptic-glitch

"Why thirty-seven? Any particular reason? I feel like forty would be better. Or thirty-five."

group

"Because, there are thirty-six of us," Four explained, "And we need an extra room for a guest."

@cryptic-glitch

"Huh. I didn't realize there were so many of you."

group

"Mm. Most never ask." Four smiled calmly.

@cryptic-glitch

"Are you. . . related in any way?"

group

Four was silent.
"No." Liar.

@cryptic-glitch

"Right. Sure. Is anyone else related to these other residents?

group

"No, not that I know of." This time, it was the truth. It was only them.

@cryptic-glitch

"Alright. How many of them are you related to?"

group

"None," Four said. "As I pointed out before, none of us are related."
