In the 1400s, a young peasant boy was exposed to the world of witchcraft and occultish magic. He was visited by demons who taught him their ways, raising him as their own. When the boy’s village found this, however, he was sentenced to burn. The demons, having a deep and profound love for the boy, dragged him down to hell where they could keep him safe from the oppresses of the world.
Many centuries later, the boy was found by other demons, and was cast out into the modern world, where he's quite confused

So basically, magic occult boy (played by me :) adjusts to how different things are while his newfound friend helps him along. (You :0)

This can be anything from a romance, to a comedy, I just want to see where this prompt goes :)

Appearance: Edmund is overall very lanky and pale, with an average build. His sharp features strongly contrast his pale, gray eyes, with a face softened by a warm smile and unruly curls. His hair is a bit long, ending about at his jawline and wildly splaying in an array of thick black waves.
He has a tall, thin physique, and stands at about 6’0”
Edmund typically wears clothes iconic to the dark academia culture, and things he finds relatable to his time.

Personality: Very quiet and shy at first glance, keeping to himself and preferring a book (or a cow) over people for company. However, he gets quite lonely and hates being by himself, and latches on to people he learns to like. He has an overall contented demeanor, and is quite clueless about certain dangers. He also has a knack for summoning demons, performing unholy rituals, and running away from the church
Quick backstory: Born to peasant farmers working on a corrupt lord’s land (Just like every other medieval commoner), often going hungry and growing up a very sickly child. After exploring in the dense forest, he came across a society of demons, plaguing the land. Taking pity on the poor child, they taught him how to defend himself, ward off illness, and bless his harvests - all of which he practiced, and all of which got him convicted of witchcraft. Before his fiery demise, the same demons who taught him these things brought him to purgatory, where he lived for centuries, but to him only felt like a few days. Eventually, he was cast out for being a mortal, and left to wander, confused in the modern world.
Present situation: Currently has just been in the modern world for about two hours, and is attempting to hide from the loud noises, unfamiliar people, and satanic technologies.

Appearance: Lumi is… small. They're very lithe and agile, and he's easy to miss since he's so small. Standing at only 5'0, Lumi is easy to lose in a crowd, but he uses his small stature to his advantage. He sometimes ties back his blond hair into a tiny ponytail to keep it from touching the back of his neck, and he occasionally pins back his bangs as well. He has thin fingers on his small hands, and he generally has slim, soft features. (In this roleplay, he will be human)

Personality: Lumi is very stubborn, for sure, but he's at least loyal most of the time. He likes to do things his own way and doesn't always have much regard for consequences. He doesn't typically play well with others, so he does better when he's alone most of the time. He's usually pretty quiet, and he seems like a loner due to how much he wanders off, but he gets lonely easily and generally hates to be alone. He's snarky and sarcastic and expects people to like them for who they are; he isn't too concerned if he isn't well liked.
Quick backstory: Lumi was born in a nice home, but when his father died, his mother couldn't afford to take care of him anymore, so she had to give him up to the foster care system. Lumi was tossed around several foster homes, and he typically caused problems by trying to run away and generally misbehaving, so he had to be given up several times. Eventually, he managed to run away and lived on the streets for a bit until he was old enough to get a job, and then a cheap place to live (admittedly not in a very good part of town)
Present situation (What's happening when we start?): Uhhh idk? I guess they'll probably just run into each other

So sorry about the wait! I was trying to make a new character and just couldn't come up with anything for the Backstory or personality, so I just decided to alter Lumi a bit because I already know I love him and I think they'll work out well enough for this ^^;

First was the angry mobs, the rock-throwing, the convictions that may have been true… Then was the fiery, foul-smelling, demon infested abyss he was in for a day or two… and then he ended up here.
Where was here? Well, the boy had the same question.
It was a lot different than what he had previously been exposed to. And even that was an understatement.
Great, loud, terrifying beasts roamed the shiny paths. People who looked like either nobles or murderers crowded through every which way. Tall - tall - castles loomed overhead and threatened to fall upon his blasphemous head.
So, Edmund did what he did best in these sorts of situations. He covered his eyes and ran. Which, brought him to a cavern of sorts, in between two of the castles.
Frightened tears raced down his dirt and blood laden face as he backed into a doorway. Where, he decided, was a very fine place to curl up and hide.
What the bloody hell was happening?

(oh and btw, I honestly don't care about the length of responses XD sometimes all you really need and have the energy for is like two sentences which I'm totally fine with. My starters are just hecking long)

(Ty <3 it's especially hard since it was so sudden, and since I didn't actually do anything wrong. We think there must have been some underlying problem because he was so young and we didn't have him very long)

After a long day of running around doing their morally gray jobs around town, Lumi had collapsed on his couch to rest for a while before they made dinner. He was starving, of course, but they wanted a few minutes to relax. Even with his jobs to do, he didn't make a ton of money and couldn't afford to eat more than twice a day at most. They struggled to keep up with their rent more often than not as well.

Suddenly, in the midst of his wallowing, they heard a strange thump from outside his door. He narrowed his eyes in an accusatory way in its direction, as though he were personally offended by the noise it had made, before they tentatively got to their feet. He grabbed a baseball bat that he kept by the doorway (as a pretty small, fragile guy, he liked to keep it for protection in such a dangerous part of town) and slowly moved towards the door.

They opened the door, which creaked and groaned as he tugged at it, and froze, gripping the bat tighter.

"Who the hell are you? I don't have any money."

(damn. that's really awful. I'm so sorry that happened. It really sucks when they leave so quickly.)

Edmund's gray eyes widened as he found himself in the presence of a noble… while he was sprawled on the ground.
Embarrassed, he stood abruptly, his disheveled form bending into a bow.

"I p-pray thee forgive me, sire, b-but would thou so kindly direct me toward a place I can stay for the night? I-I find that I am lost a-and terribly afraid."
He looked up slightly, still hunched over in his haphazard bow as he tucked a strand of black hair from his eyes. "P-prithee, my lord."

Lumi was, understandably, absolutely bewildered at this response. Even when Edmund was bowing, Lumi was scarcely taller than him. They clearly weren't all that impressive. Why is he talking so weird? Must have hit his head or something…

"Uh… as much as I appreciate the ego boost, I'm quite literally the scum of the earth. I'm no 'lord' or..
'Sire'…" Lumi kept his eyes on Edmund's back; it felt very strange to have someone bowing to them. Maybe he's from England.
"You're being really weird, but I guess you can crash on my couch as long as you don't expect much food. I'm broke."

Edmunds eyes lit up with the response, taking it that the lord was letting him stay.

“I do not know how one must crash into this couch? But I shall gladly accept thine offering!” He said through his thick European accent, chafed with a slightly Scottish flare and rolling his r’s.
He unfolded himself from the bow, brushing off his filthy blouse and running hand hand through his unruly hair.

“My lord, may I ask, dost thou knowest where Whilhelmdoth Haleshire is?” He asked timidly, is hands interlaced as he looked down at the much smaller Lumi
