Naylia looked at the clock. Ugh!

Makayla and her friend were talking when she noticed Naylia. "Why haven't I seen that girl around before?"
"You never pay attention."

Naylia felt someone watching her. She looked down slightly, making sure to avoid eye contact.

That made Makayla laugh to herself. "I guess you're right."

Naylia took out her sketchbook and began to draw a mythical creature.
"What in the world are you drawing, freak?" A voice snapped.
Why now, why today! Naylia looked up to see her worst enemy standing in front of her.
"Give that here." Laura snatched the book out of her hand. "Ah, why would you even draw such a creepy thing, it's almost as ugly as you."

Hearing that made her snap. She walked up to the girl and took the drawing from her. "Nah. It's prettier than you'll ever be. Now leave her alone and scram."

Naylia looked up, tears forming in the corner of her eyes.

"Here. I'm sure this is yours."

"T..thanks." Naylia grabbed the notebook and ran out of the classroom to the bathroom.

Makayla flinched and ran after her.
