He leaned into the hug, wrapping an arm around Gabe's waist. "I love you too."

Gabe smiled still, pressing close to Alex and holding him.
He smiled a little as well, closing his eyes.

Alex shrugged his shoulders slightly. "I…but I killed you." he said softly. "And…now you've moved across the entire country."

"I also was able to accept I have no interest in women," Gabe pointed out, moving to gently cup Alex's cheeks in his hands. "And on top of that, I met the love of my life. Do I look dead now?" Gabe chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to Alex's forehead.
"But…" he looked vaguely overwhelmed, pressing closer to Gabe. "But I'm…"

"You're the love of my life," Gabe said softly. "And death. And then life again." He tried to offer a joke, but he wrapped his arms around Alex, holding him gently to his chest.
"And I wouldn't give you up for anything."
Alex swallowed faintly, peeking up at him and leaning closer. "Okay." he said in a quiet tone. This was still a lot for him to process, a lot for him to think about. That Gabe could love him so much. That anyone could.

Gabe ran his fingers through Alex's hair once more, still with that smile of his. He didn't have anything else he could say- he loved Alex so fully that at this point, he didn't even know if there were any words to express it properly.
Alex leaned into the hand in his hair, closing his eyes and shaking his head very faintly. He still didn't know how to process all of this, but he was trying to accept it.

Gabe would give Alex time. He didn't want to push his lover. After all, he had so much to work through.
All he wanted Alex to know is that he would be there the entire time.
He just breathed and stayed close to Gabe, enjoying the other man's company contentedly.

Gabetook his time to enjoy the company as well, chuckling slightly.
"We have a whole new life ahead of us… I can't wait to spend it with you."
He smiled faintly, nodding. "Yeah. It's…it's gonna be great."

"Exactly!" Gabe smiled, pressing his forehead gently against Alex's.
Alex smiled again, leaning his own forehead against Gabe's. "Perfect."

His smile was soft and sweet as he leaned into Gabe. "Me too."
