"We should ask if they'll give us seven more," Amber grumbled when he'd pulled away. She rubbed at the spot under her lower lip, wondering if her whole body was going numb, or if it was just from his kiss…

Jace was clearly satisfied with the effect he was having on his girlfriend. He touched her lips and leaned in.
“Firstly, we’ll have more moments like these,” he winked at her, though he was glad it was dark. His cheeks were red and he knew it wasn’t bevause of the alcohol. “Secondly… I’d like to think it’s because of my kiss. C’mon, let’s go before they kill us.”

Amber let out a whiny groan at his words. Why couldn't she keep her thoughts to herself when she was drunk? The numbness was nice, but it also loosened her hold on her mouth. Who knew what she might say with enough alcohol on her system.
"Fine…" she sighed, stepping away from him and rubbing at the center of her forehead. "I suppose we should…"

When the couple walked out, their appearance was—to say the least—messy. Jude snorted while the others stared at him. William, on the other hand, paid no attention, typing on his phone, boredom clear on his features.
“Wow,” Parker blinked. “You guys seriously went all out, didn’t you? I’m glad this was Seven Minutes and not more.”

Amber cleared her throat and walked back to her seat, her cheeks flushed a crimson red. She sat on her hands, chewing on her still-swollen lower lip.
"Yeah, yeah… It's my turn to pick someone next, right?" she asked, her eyes meeting Jace's.

“Hm…” Parker leaned back, trying to think of who to send before he turned to his other boys. “What do you say, guys? Besides Jace and Holden, who should we send?”
“Drew!” Jace called out with a laugh. “Let’s send dear dad this time.”
Drew shot a look at Jace before sighing.
“You guys are so troublesome…” he groaned.

Drew stood up and made his way inside the closet, leaning against it and waiting for Savannah.
When both of them were inside, he sighed.
“Okay, there’s absolutely nothing I want to do,” he said to her. “So might as well spend these minutes doing whatever.”

The rest of the party went on in much the same way as it had been. The girls got a ride home from one of the guys who hadn’t been drinking — but if you asked them which one, they would tell you that they couldn’t remember who.
Now, it was about a week later, on a Saturday morning. Amber was in her room, giving her hair for the date she was going on with Jace. She couldn’t wipe the smile off of her face from how excited she was.
Jace was such a nice guy. They’d taken to eating lunch together when their schedules allowed it, and they often passed each other in the halls on the way to class.

Jace was looking forward to his date with Amber. They had practice today, but nothing he couldn’t skip, right? His teammates would understand. Besides, it wasn’t like he was the main player. They wouldn’t need him yet.
Amber was beautiful both inside and out, Jace decided. She was funny, nice, and quite amusing. She was different from all the other girls he’d met.
Him and his girlfriend decided to meet up where they were going, and Jace was excited to see her. How would she be dressed up for today? He couldn’t wait.

Amber pulled her black leather jacket on over her red blouse before checking her looknin the mirror. She adjusted some of her necklaces, tucked a stand of hair back in place, and smiled at her appearance. She thought looked good, so she could only hope that Jace agreed.
A while later, she pulled up to the movie theatre. They’d decided on simply seeing a movie for their first real date — she wasn’t counting the kiss in the closet — so it would hopefully go well.

When Jace saw her, he burst out into a grin. Walking over to her, he rested his hands on her waist and gave her a small kiss on the nose.

Jace’s laughter joined hers, and he began to lead her towards the snack bar.
“So, do you want to get two separate popcorns, or should we share?” He asked her, though he already knew her answer. “And what drink would you like?”

“Hm… We can share, as long as we get a large,” Amber mused, her gaze flickering over the menu above them. “An Icee sounds good right now. The blue is my favorite.”

Jace smiled at her before turning to the employee. “We’d like a large bag of popcorn, a blue Icee and a coke.”
The employee nodded and quickly grabbed a large bag, pouring fresh popcorn into it and then getting started on their drinks. Once she was done, he set everything on the counter. Jace paid, grabbed the drinks and then looked at Amber.
“Mind holding the popcorn?” He questioned with a smile. “C’mon, hurry, the movie should be starting soon.”

“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Amber chuckled, scooping the popcorn into her arms. “I can’t wait to see this. I’ve been wanting to for a while now, but I just never found the time.”
