"Be normal?" Adrielle smirked. "Duh."

"There's not such thing as normal in this world. If you cry, you get scars on your face. You get a paper cut, and that cut stays there for the rest of your life. And all the people who act like they're perfect give you mental scars. So no, you wouldn't be normal."

"Fine," Adrielle said. "I'd be special." She pulled her hair out of her face. "Plus, my powers are lame, anyways."

"Fire is not lame," Emmy replied, puffing out some smoke. "I would kill to be able to burn things to crisps, but I'll settle on tearing them in two."

Adrielle shrugged. "Fire is fire." She snapped her fingers, a flame on her index fingertip. "I never really use it, so…

"Yeah, you're like the opposite of me," She laughed softly. "I used my magic for basically everything."

Adrielle grinned. "Wonder what would happen if we never had our magic in the first place?" She grinned at the thought.

"Maybe this world would have been different without magic. Maybe we wouldn't have been left with tear scars, and maybe it would just be better all round."

Adrielle nodded, then smirked. "Have any good fucks lately?" She didn't like to think about things like that for too long.

"Way to change the subject," Emmy smirked. "But yeah. Get the right guy and they'll fuck you for anything. Always manage to get money out of it though."

"I got 300 grand from Samuel Kane last night."

"Oohoohoo! Sweet!" She yelled. "1000 last night from Gregory Knight. Sure, he's not pretty, but he gives good sex."

"You might have too hook me up," Adrielle smirked, taking a drag from a cigar.

"Pfft, no," Emmy replied. "No way. He's mine."

"Fine," she said with an eye roll. "I'll find someone else."
