They were rivals. Everyone knew. They were always the two most talented dancers. At each competition, they seemed to be there, ripping at each others throats. If they hadn't been bitter rivals, they may have been able to be friends.
A new school year starts. One of them starts at the school the other goes to. They find out a few days before start of term, but having no control over that, they decide individually to just ignore the other. And then they were put into the same dorm.
Being stuck in the same room, they have no choice but to get along. Maybe overtime it will blossom into something more than friendship.

So this is a dance RP. Please have adequate knowledge of dance, or at least music in general.
I would prefer it to be girlxgirl.
My character would be the girl who already goes, while yours would be the new girl.
I'll post a template if someone wants to join.
Also it's at a boarding school, so they're literally stuck with each other.

Appearance: Half shaved head with a bunch of curls on top (you know, like P!nk). Constantly dyeing it, currently pale purple; Tanned skin with a beauty mark below her left eye; Naturally blue eyes but wears contacts.
Style: Leather jackets, jeans, block heeled boots, t-shirts
Personality: Humourous, competitive, defiant, confident, kind, sassy, sarcastic
Likes: Dancing, her dance partner, her family

Background: Emilia has always loved dancing. Her parents have old videos from when she was 3 of her dancing. She begged her parents to let her take dance, so she started early. She's always been a fierce competitor, and now that she's older and with a good partner, she is a force to be reckoned with.
Emilia is head over heels in friendship with her dance partner. She doesn't like him romantically, but they've been best friends for as long as she can remember. Connor has always been there for her, and she is kinda protective of him. But she's glad that her little gay bff chose the right dude. Otherwise it wouldn't have ended well. Connor and his boyfriend Markus both attend the boys' school.

itd be funny if they were polar opposites, like contemporary and hip hop, or ballet and jazz (which is emilia's second favourite style))

(I was definitely thinking of doing a ballet focused character. I know a lot more about it than any other dance style)

ballet is more precise and forbidding, while contemporary is free flowing and has less restrictions)

Eyes: Her eyes are deep emerald green with a few light brown specks in them. They are big and doe-like with long, light brown eyelashes to frame them
Hair: Her hair is about waist length and a golden blond colour. Naturally wavy but she straightens it to keep it in much better condition for dance. It frames her forehead in the top of a heart shape
Skin: She had Russian origins so she is on the paler side and doesn’t tan because tan lines do not look nice on stage. Her skin in the definition of pale with cooler pink undertones
Body: Her body is athletic but still quite curvy. She’s slim and her legs are all muscle. Her stomach is flat and her waist is tiny and her hips are relatively wide and turned out for her ballet needs. She doesn’t have much chest but that’s regular for ballerinas.
Style: When not wearing her ballet uniform she’ll normally be wearing something backless and a bralette with some black leggings. She likes wearing comfy clothes because of how uncomfy ballet outfits are.
Other: She has a very gentle look to her, almost angelic. Although, she can be saucy and hot when she wants to.
Personality: Sarcastic, shy, awkward and adorable. She’s protective but also submissive which confuses her sometimes and extremely innocent. She’s very disciplined due to the way she was brought up both in ballet and home life (Strict but kind Russian parents)
Likes: Anything fruity. Animals. Ballet <3
Dislikes: Emilia Wass (for now…) The ocean/fish
Background: She started ballet when she was two and was the top of her class ever since. She was humbly unsurprised when she got accepted into the dance school. Her mother was a prima ballerina and is now a teacher and Alyssia is following in her footsteps

"Chop chop girls!" Ms Rousseu yelled. They were in dance class for the first time that year: the rest of their week had been filled with typical subjects such as mathematics and English. "Today we are doing contemporary dance!" She scanned the girls in the class. "Emilia! You shall be our demonstrator today!"

Alyssia rolled her eyes slightly as Emilia took the stage, her feet flat on the floor in some ballet flats. The was another one of the many mandatory classes she had to take and one of the many which she had no friends in. She picked at a loose elastic on the band on her ballet flats, letting the soft, pale pink elastic piece fall to the shiny, newly polished floor.

Ms Rousseau spotted this. "Alyssia! Pick that up! I won't have disrespect in my classroom!"
Emilia smirked, although no one could see it. She was looking the opposite way, trying to find an appropriate song for the demonstration. She settled on Exhale by Sabrina Carpenter.

She tolled her eyes after the teacher had looked away, scoffing quietly. She blushed softly at the song she chose, it being a song she had recently added to her playlist of happy songs.

"NO!" Ms Rousseau yelled. "Not that song! Get in position!" Emilia did so. She assumed that Ms Rousseau wanted her to dance her trophy winning dance, and as Monster by The Girl and the Dreamcatcher started to play, she knew her assumption was right.

When the girl started to dance she found her eyes pinned there, following Emilia’s steps around the room. She dragged her eyes from her and finished putting her pants in her bag that was sitting across from her

Emilia could tell that all eyes were on her. That was how she liked it. She'd become the centre of attention during her dancing career, and she didn't want to change that. She saw Alyssia watching her out of the corner of her eye, and she smiled internally.

When the dance had ended she was barely breathing, afraid to make noise. She scoffed and clapped along with the others, fighting off a grin. She couldn’t feel like that towards Emilia, she was her nemesis; a nemesis who was a great dancer, and a great person, and so fucking… “woah there Alyssia… calm the fuck down” she muttered to herself, careful of her tone.

When she finished, Emilia smiled and tried to act flustered from the attention. Ms Rousseau congratulated her, and she bowed. This was her unspoken rountine: act kind, dance and show the competition up, act like it was nothing and be embarrassed for the attention, then boast about it to the defeated competition. It was that simple.

All the while the class was talking amongst themselves and congratulating Emilia, Alyssia was sewing another pair of ballet shoes, not really caring much about the compliments others were giving Emilia. Why would she?

As the rest of the class was put into groups of two or three, Emilia walked over to Alyssia. "You like being shown up?" She asked, a smirk on her lips. "It's a normal occurrence for you now, though."

“Oh I’m sorry, I can’t understand flailing” she scoffed, her slight Russian accent peaking through. She brushed her hair up into a ponytail.

"Maybe that's because your stuffy ballet is too robotic," She retorted. "Besides, you're just jealous because I always win at competitions with my 'flailing' and you don't with your robot."
