" cooking, " he said softly

Grey sighs and chuckles tiredly. "Fair enough."

" anything you want?" he asked softly

Grey tilts his head. "Rabbit."

asra chuckled " we'd have to hunt for it,"

Grey huffs and shifts, then pushes open the door, bounding out into the night. He very quickly finds a rabbit warren and kills a brace of them, then trots back to the cottage. He puts them on the counter, then shifts back to human.

"There we go." he grins.

" that was quick…" he mumbled, shocked

Grey shrugs. "I'm effecient. I wasn't alpha for nothing."

asra smiled, happy to have his lover with him " you are to good for me"

Grey looks at Asra ruefully. "No, I'm not."

" would you like to rephrase that " he growled playfully

"Well, in regards to sex, I am. However, as a person. . ." he murmurs.

asra smirked " you are in both to me, you are my alpha after all

Grey sighs. "And look how well that turned out for my pack."

asra sighed " that was not your fault and you know it."

Grey looks at Asra. "My pack was mine to protect from all harm, and I let them get sick. I was ignorant of safety. I let our pups roam free, and then on the last day that I was truly away from my pack, chasing a stray whelp. . . that must've been when the sickness first set in. It's also when I first smelled you."

asra remembered the pup he'd nearly stepped on " do you think I caused it?"

Grey shakes his head. "No. There's no way. I've seen vampire blight before. This was not it."

" then what?"

Grey shakes his head harde. "I- I don't know."

" hey.. its okay.."

Grey sighs, an explosive sound. "I know. I'm sorry. Let's just make some food, shall we?"

He tries to brighten his voice a little and succeeds. He smiles at Asra, then goes to find his pants.

" could have stayed bottomless."

Grey tosses a "I'll still be shirtless, don't worry" over his shoulder as finds his. He glances at Asra.

"Why were my pants hidden behind the plants?"

asra coughed "hm.."

Grey chuckles. "Thought so."

He pads back over to the kitchen area, and sits down.

Asra continues to cook, filling the house full of smells

Grey watches Asra, and sniffs the air. "I smell red and black pepper over there. And cayyene powder. Just what exactly are you trying to do?"

“ nothing!” he chirped

Grey sighs and chuckles. "Fine. Keep your secrets then. I'll have to taste it to know anyways, so there's that."

He sniffs again. "Lemon?"
