Run. Run. Run.
Run little rabbit.
Telu was not hunting rabbits. They were hunting people. Emphasis on were, standing over the fresh corpse. Their form was not of any human resemblance aside from maybe having two arms and two legs, standing slightly upright - but that was it. Feeding had commenced, and feeding had passed.
“I may have overdid it,” Telu commented after some time, to themselves. They’d killed three. They needed less than one body. Oh well. You couldn’t leave witnesses, couldn’t you? Telu reverted back into their original form. An original form that wasn’t so different from attack mode/defense mode/feeding form. Their skin was hidden in the dark of the night as they retreated back to home - an abandoned, single floor building. They didn’t know what this building was, they didn’t care. All they cared is that it wasn’t in use and the perfect place for them to remain hidden.
If their skin were to have been seen, one could almost state they had no skin. Putting it simply, their features were quite gritty to witness in broad daylight. However, their skin was extremely tough - or soft, depending on the situation. Jaw hanging open, needle like teeth revealed, Telu crawled through the window of the place, sniffing the air for a moment. No one had been here in the time they were absent.
That was good.
The proportions of Telu were almost uncanny valley, with long arms and longer legs, a frail but powerful body. And their jaws - opened vertically, taking up almost the entire head. They could close, yes - but typically, Telu left them open. Telu also could switch to a more human form…but no, that took too much energy. Too much work. Only in emergencies.
Telu did not sleep like most creatures. Instead, they entered into a dormant state, vitals lowered, completely still. They would awaken if they sensed danger - but it was an effective state, often giving them the appearance of a statue. They could do it for as long as needed.
