"He came home last night and we slept with you. We did get up early because we have school. Isn't there something else you should say to Payton?" He asked.
Lily giggled as Payton sat up with her in his arms. "Happy Birthday Payton!!" She yelled happily, shrieking as he started tickling her.
Payton laughed and threw her onto the bed, still tickling her. "Thanks Lil."
"We have to go to school Lily. Then I'm taking Payton somewhere magical after school. So make a cake with mommy so we can have a party when he gets back, okay?" Kyle kissed her forehead.
“It’ll be the best cake ever!” She responded excitedly, looking up at Payton while still clinging to him.
“The best one ever? Well then I’m looking forward to it.” Payton grinned, picking her up and walking downstairs.
Kyle fallowed with a genuine smile. This is the one day he was allowed to be happy. The only day he felt himself. Seeing a smile on Payton's face was the best thing I could ask for. "We'll be leaving now." Kyle opened the door for Payton. "After you my birthday boy."
Lily waved after giving Payton a goodbye kiss on the cheek.
Payton got in the car and took Kyle's hand, pressing it to his lips. "Why are you so happy?" He asked curiously.
"Because, I love you and it's your first birthday that I am your boyfriend. I'm also really excited to give you your present." Kyle grinned and kissed his lips softly. He started the car and drive to school.
Payton just smiled in return, blushing a little and rubbing his thumb over Kyle's knuckles. "No skipping school today I guess." He sighed, resting his head on the back of the seat.
"Sadly, that is what has to happen." Kyle sighed. "The good thing is after school. I get give you the best gift ever. So be prepared for it okay?"
"I'm looking forward to it." Payton laughed softly, gazing at Kyle as they drove to school. "And how am I supposed to prepare for it?"
"All you have to do is let me love you." Kyle pulled over and got out the car. "So? Will you let me love you?"
"I always have." Payton grinned, leaning over to kiss him happily. "You know that." He added, resting his hand on Harrow's neck.
"Good." Kyle kissed Payton lovingly. "Let's have a good day today." He marched into the school with a grin.
Payton followed him with a small giggle, taking his hand.
He made it through the day fairly happily, getting bored in a few classes but becoming more excited towards the end of the day.
Once school was over he went to go meet Payton. Once his eyes fell upon him, Kyle wrapped hi arms around Payton's waist. "Are you ready for my present, birthday boy?" He kissed his eyes and cheek.
"Yes I'm ready." Payton grinned, turning around and kissing him. "Where are you taking me?" He asked curiously.
"It's a secret." Kyle pulled him out of the school. "It's no where far I promise." He opened the car door. "After you." Kyle had already placed the guitar in the trunk, along with the picnic he set up.
“It sounds like you’re planning on murdering me or something.” Payton laughed, getting in the car and taking Kyle’s hand again.
"Hey, I would never do that." He nudged him before driving to the park. "We're here. Let me get the stuff out the trunk. Actually can you help me?" Kyle opened the drunk grabbed his guitar case and the blanket. "Can you get the basket please?"
Payton grinned, nodding and feeling slightly giddy as he got out of the car. “You’re adorable.” He murmured, stealing a kiss as he walked by Kyle.
Kyle shook his head. “You’re the one who’s sexy then.” He chuckled headed down the hill. “I rented this place out for the two of us. Only for today.” Kyle laid down the blanket and sat on it. “Let’s eat a little before I sing.”
Payton helped him out with the blanket and sat down next to him, leaning over to kiss him. “Thank you for this. I love you.” He murmured, gazing at him with a loving grin for a moment.
“I love you too.” Kyle places the picnic basket in the center and opened it. He took foods such as sandwiches and vegetables. He also put water and lemonade in there. “I could exactly cook a full meal because it wouldn’t taste good if it was cold so I just made sandwiches. Do you like it?”
"It's perfect." Payton grinned, taking some food and beginning to eat. "What would you have done if it was raining today?"
"I would have stuck an umbrella in the ground." Kyle laughed. "I would have done anything to keep this date going." Kyle started to each as well. "First song first song for today is…" He took out his guitar and strummed a chord and then started to play Happy Birthday. "Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear my boyfriend…." He added a few extra chords. "Happy Birthday to you…"
Payton giggled and blushed, clapping after he was finished. "Thank you, that was beautiful." He grinned, leaning over to kiss him.
"You are very welcome." Kyle grinned. "I will sing you the other song when the sunset starts okay?" Kyle placed the guitar behind him and finished one of the sandwiches. "What did you and Rowan talk about yesterday?"
"Uh..basically everything from the past year." He laughed, lacing their fingers together. "I slept most of the day though before we left."
"So, I guess that meeting wasn't real huh? Whatever, I don't mind. We're humans. We lie. " Kyle shrugged and drank the lemonade he brought. "The suns almost going to set. It'll be so pretty."
“No, it wasn’t. I’m sorry. I don’t know why I lied about it.” Payton replied, glancing up at the sky. “Yeah, it’s going to be beautiful.” He murmured, moving closer to Kyle and laying his head on his shoulder.
